What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Going back to my Old Timer 7OT, Buck 301, and Marbles scout/demo/utility knife.
(The Old Timer asked for some carry time. I figure the 110 can use a few days off.) It just did not feel right without a stockman in my pocket, yesterday.

I came across this #57 Half Whittler in my GEC ceegar box, i would of loved to get my hands on the stag handled version but by the time they came on my radar i was lucky to snag this one.
Anyhoo back on message, today i am carrying this #57.

Excellent carries Gary and thank you!!!

Great picks for this week GT. No problem, I hope you do find some chocolate stout though.

That knobby head of wood was my 'giraffe stick' (the head of the root looked like a giraffe head) In my teens I went to a boot camp and needed a latrine digging stick.
When I left the boot camp we had some things we took with us and I decided to take that with me. The shaft of the root broke off after being riddled by termites but the head is an interesting piece of wood so I use it as a interesting 'place rest' for my knife carry photos.

Thanks GT! I really like that Simmons, simplicity at its finest.

Thanks for the comments, GT! A nice cast of classics you're carrying this week.
...

...Carrying it today (it's 2.30am here), in a cracking little pocket slip that Paul Mason's good lady wife Jan made me :) A nice surprise I received yesterday afternoon :)

Thanks pal, you seem to have pockets full of usefulness this week! :D Nice Keen Kutter

GT - Thanks x2 my friend!:) Love that KK!
...
Thanks, Robert, Tim, Bill, Dean, Jack, and Ron. :)
Tim, thanks for the story about your digging stick; very cool!
Jack, your "surprise sheath" is very fetching!

...I carried it all through the long holiday weekend and just today switch out for these
Couple of prime pocket knives, Rachel! I especially like that "improved" yellow peanut; I'd forgotten you had that one.

Another great shot of that superb stag peanut you have, Bill!

Very attractive canoe, Peter! :cool::thumbup:

I admire the complementary textures on your knife and sheath, FBC; cool pic!:cool:

Here are a few more knives I'm carrying this week.

Thank you very much Gev. The "Crouching Puma of Malkuth" looks like a splendid knife as well. Sounds like a couple of new (to me) authors I need to check out as well.
Thanks for the compliment! Bromfield is one of my favorites. I have read 17 of his books so far :D

Sean
I bet you are over the moon about that incredible beauty!!!! Wow:eek::eek:

Love all these beautiful knives. Here's what I've got today. A cheap Barlow from AG Russel and my favorite Northwoods.

Jack - Thank you for the compliment!:) The Stag Jack was definitely a bargain! That slip is a nice surprise!

Yes indeed, Jan did a great job of it, most generous :)

I guess stag is tricky stuff to inlay. When I first got mine, I thought I'd have to sand down this sharpish area around a pin, but it doesn't happen to be in a spot that bothers my hand in use, so I'll leave it be.

I reckon so r8shell, perhaps one of the reason John L cautioned against a shield :)

Very classy

Nice-looking Barlow

Traditional for today. 2 3/4" Ohta Small Camper. It's a little knife that thinks it's a big knife!

Cool pic Gev

Jack, your "surprise sheath" is very fetching!

Thanks GT, I'm carrying my Stag Jack in it again today, together with my RJ :)

Northwoods Everyday Barlow for me today, and my shiny new titanium AAA Maratac flashlight. :D It will never replace my favorite copper model but it's nice to have options.

Thanks for the kind words, Jack! I am happy to see the glass in a couple of pictures now!;):D Great carries today!

Solid choices. I just got a copper myself, so how do you like the titanium? Is it much lighter than the copper? After buying 2 C123 at the store the other night for $27 my GF is considering a titanium one. Gotta love a cheap triple A battery and the power produced from these little flashlights.
