GT one of my favorites too, it's laser sharp and oh so small but still has a decent length main blade, Mines called the Platinum Edge.
The blade configuration is switched.
Good description, Ted. I haven't seen a Platinum Edge before!
Thanks for the compliment, Gary. Here's a pic of that Boker. It has a permanent place in the mission wallet I carry so it's with me all the time.
Nice little Imperial you're carrying.
That's a very special Boker, Gary!
...GT, cleaning up the presidential took a lot of it's character away. I underestimated how much the patina added to the knife, but I have been cutting up everything I can get my hands on the past few days. The patina is coming back. It shouldn't be long before it takes on that beautiful grey/ black that I loved so much. I also let it get dull(ish), and kept putting off giving it a proper sharpening.
I really like those diamond edge imperials. I almost bought one a while ago, but it wasn't in the best of shape. I just can't get enough of that shield, though. It might be one of my all time favorites.
I admire you, Erik, for doing the experiment of "resetting" your Presidential and starting over on the patina. After seeing your results, I'm more confident in trying that on a couple of my knives.
The DE shield is definitely cool. I wish I could remember the history of the Diamond Edge brand; it definitely didn't start with Imperial.
Just giving you a well-deserved hard time, sir!
I was happy to see that Tim finally got his hands on a '11 Forum Knife so I decided to get mine out and give it a once over to remove all of the swirlies and polish up the edge.
Great knives today everyone!
...
That's what is in my pocket today as well. After a year of searching I finally found one. Polished out all the patina and gave it a fresh look.

Those EO 85 BF knives are just gorgeous, Jake. Tim, congrats on finally tracking down one of your own!
Took these yesterday,
the jigging and coloring on the knife is sooooo nice.

True fact, Josh!
Quick bad lighting pic of a Case Display model I just found at a hardware store! Gotta clean it up and take better pictures this afternoon.

Congrats on finding one of those "rare" swayback jacks, Josh! "The jigging and coloring on the knife is sooooo nice."

Sadly, another Chestnut CV model that seems to have disappeared from the Case lineup.

To quote a friend, this Tony Bose designed BackPocket "Ain't no little knife!"

Wow, Ron, more jolly good jigging!! Chestnut bone is SO attractive, IMHO!
Got my Cotton Sampler back from Queen on Christmas eve. The original chocolate bone scale had a fine crack.
They did a nice job on the new stag scales.
It's early days for 2016, but HOKIE_FAN has a strong "Understatement of the Year" candidate right there!!
New to me and thrilled with it.
Congrats on the 2014 Forum Knife, redsparrow; excellent stag, and sweet photo!
Like a pocket full of sunshine

Makes me happy to carry and use this less than impeccable but quite a bit more than good enough A.Wright in Water Buffalo Horn
Whoa, it glow, Bro!!
My 73 and Pal Blade Co.

Harry, that's a handful of happy you've got yourself!
Me and my boker fiskmuk with stag scales had to get used to it but boy is a great knife.
That's an interesting model, Keith!

I've been over to see ADEE and ScruffUK today. Had these two in my pockets
Unique-looking higo, Jack, and I'm surprised how festive I find that white sowbelly! Hope you had a marvelous visit and trouble-free travels.

W!!! Cuckoo for cocobolo, Todd; that wood is unbelievable!!
Lost this beauty today while putting chains on my tires. Circled back to look and it had walked away in a store parking lot. Sad sad day, one of my favs. Old pic in honor of a beautiful knife.
Thought I lost this Queen, turns out I left it with some hunting gear I packed up a while ago. I'll need to polish the oxidation off the bail though
My condolences, Drew; hope you soon find something to replace it in your affections.
Congrats, Tom, on finding your "lost" Queen scout; I really like the feathering on that black horn!
I don't know what to say about the rest of these fine knives that were posted in the past 3 days, except I was blown away by how many people posted classic, elegant, basic black knives. Lots of variation in size, pattern, patina, but they all struck me as SO classy. Another feature added to my "wish list". (Actually, several features: in addition to classic black covers, things like sheepsfoot EO, uniform patina, tip bolsters etc. should all be represented in my knife holdings someday.)
...Carried this Sheepfoot Boys Knife today...added the EO notch. Great, slim little slicer:thumbup:

Today, my ebony WLST® (GEC #25 barlow, pen behind main):
~ P.
Ebony Davison selected for tomorrow's duties. And maybe pocket duty until my northwoods double bladed Barlow arrives.
The "Dog Soldier" is a NYKCo Hammer Brand Dogleg Jack. It's 3& 3/4 inches

and solid as a steel trap and snaps like one too; w/ full blades. The back scale is fantastic and the front scale is solid character, in my opinion. ...
...Thought I'd carry this Saynor Lambsfoot today
This one was in my pocket today.
...
Just put this leash on my Beer Scout this morning, will have to do until I can find a leather one, which I think would look better.
I took this out to photograph for the Penknife thread and decided to sharpen it and toss it in a pocket. Camillus model 44 in black composition.
It's nice watching the patina process again.
A vote for Senator Lamb Foot this morning
With me today. A Case/Bose Norfolk and a City Knife by Eldon Talley in Mammoth Ivory and ATS-34.
