What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I spent half the day in the ER with a kidney stone yesterday. A lot of pain. Hoping to scare it today by carrying my doctor's knives and just maybe it will pass. :o

I too wish you well, Primble!! Those two should crush them to dust;)

Beautiful knife Tim

Jack Nice Böker Copperhead there, I've a couple of those, quite heavy but very well turned out. Is that Washboard Bone?

Thanks Will, it was an Xmas gift from ScruffUK  It IS Washboard Bone, but I only know that because Meako told me! :D

Nice to see that

Another great pairing Tom

Jack - a fine pairing today - the 25 pic is very nicely done.

Thanks Primble :) Ouch! That's rotten :( Hope those two beautiful knives work their magic

Thanks Jack, great pairing yourself today sir  (I read the zombie killer blade ban article in your second pic ;))

Where did you get the sheath? Is that the northwoods pocket sheath?

Hi AusLoX - that is the Adirondack sheath and came with the knife, it has the optional waterproof treatment. If I understand correctly the CPM154 steel version has that sheath, I think it may be a different sheath for the S35V version at KnivesShipFree.

I don't expect this knife to resonate much in here, but I'm kinda proud of it. It's one of the few items belonging to my grandpa that I received after his passing; I just recently rediscovered it after almost 15 years. I polished the shield and bolsters, cleaned the MOP and gave the blades a little spit shine and sharpening as well. I maintained a portion of the patina but healed it of it's scratches. It's been in my watch pocket since.

I dare say few things resonate more than Grandpa's knife in your pocket! It looks great, and you are blessed to have it.

One of the more beautiful knives I've seen in here in a while. Anybody with a fat wallet can obtain a pile of TC barlows or exotic customs. The knives I'm truly envious of are the ones with family history. I could win the lottery tomorrow and that pile of cash wouldn't bring me any closer to a treasure such as this one. Kudos to you for taking such care of your grandfather's knife. Simply stunning.

Today I'll be taking my new 21 out for it's maiden voyage.

It's a great feeling carrying something that means so much! Enjoy!

Thanks my friend, it must have been a VERY slow news day! :D

Great pic, always good to see that knife

For sure, I managed to miss the original post  Nice old Jack too, reminds me of one my old feller used to carry

Not sure if it's traditional enough for many here, but a knife I've owned for quite w few years and for some reason sits right with me. Not fancy, quite cheap but the warmth of the redwood is nice. No pocket clips, no one hand flicks snap scare the masses here.

I don't have a problem with it. Looks like a nice little lock back with some modern touches. The blade and handle shape are certainly traditional enough.

Thank you good sir. Same here. OD and black Linen micarta just calling me as well.

Great looking clip to compliment that smooth bone! Very very nice.

Dan - Thank you sir  I do like this 15 a lot! :D

Going to carry this one, on loan from Eric, thanks for letting me handle and carry this beautiful piece by Ohta for a bit.
Couldn't wait to take some photos in that morning light.

A beautiful clip point with a 100% symmetrical swedge. The first piece of work by Ohta that I've handled.

Thank you. I do feel pretty blessed. The knife still has so much snap left in it. Took a keen edge as well.
