What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Recently someone mentioned Helle, so I thought I'd break out my Fjellkniven - it hasn't been out of the safe in a while. Great light to medium duty fixed blade option.

Carrying these two today :)

WLST and WJ that is 2 nice ones Jack!

Going for my Chamblin Whittler today, one of my favorite patterns!

Ernie - Your Chamblin is a terrific knife. I really love the subtle curves to the shape, it's very unique!

Just put this one in my pocket too, it looked lonely. ;)

Thanks for the knife Ed. :)

Ted - A great photo and a great pattern by Case.

I have had this Huckleberry to keep me company on this our, coldest day so far of the winter. :)

Wonderful jigging and colouration on that 15 Ron, a perfect mate to the 85 forum knife with those bolsters and identical jigging pattern, quite eye-catching. Hope you stay warm~

Cool combo Tim

Thank you Tom, rarely do I carry both a fixed and folder nowadays but I figured I'd take a leaflet out of your book :)

Not good at all - although good to know GEC would make it right.

I have no doubt that they would.

Hm..that's a real shame bud, perhaps a quick and dirty fix would be epoxy and then a buffing?

I've been doing quite a bit of reading up on the issue, and that seems like a viable option. If I can stabilize it I won't mind it at all. It'll just add that much more character b

I love the polish on that one.

Thanks Ron! :D  I was scrolling through the thread, and your Huckleberry really stopped me in my tracks! A beautiful knife, and that jigging...:)

Overnighter to Canada today. 6 hours of driving and a hour engineering review meeting. It's well below zero here and I'm exhausted! My own bed and my wife beside me would be worth a million dollars tonight...

I brought my 66 slim along for the ride. I picked it up a few months back for a deal I couldn't refuse and its turned out to be an amazingly versatile knife. I normally don't like California Clips but this knife has swayed me!

Tim, Eric, and Jack - Gentlemen I appreciate all the kind words on my 15.:)

I reached into my pocket to grab my 77 Barlow to find that it has developed a nice crack around the bottom pin. I was horrified. I just hope that it doesn't expand, because I've loved watching the ivory bone age. I would hate to have to have it rehandled and lose all that character.

Erik, that's a bummer my friend...I've enjoy watching blade, bolsters and liners patina and become part of you as it ages. Hopefully a stable crack and stays that way forever without further damage:thumbup:

Dan - Thank you friend and a great photo with your Opinel! :) I am looking forward to the OD and Black Linen Micarta. :D

Saying my final farewell to a 1st cousin today. This Smooth Ivory Huckleberry will be in my pocket. :)

Thank you good sir. Same here. OD and black Linen micarta just calling me as well.

Great looking clip to compliment that smooth bone! Very very nice.

A new City Knife and an old Primble scout this morning.

Really like that new city knife Tom. What flavour are those wood handles ?

Fantastic picture L2D! :thumbup::thumbup:

Waiting in the parking lot for another one of the employees to arrive so I can open the store - might as well get a pic in :)
