Congrats on tracking down your grail, Dean; I hope you enjoy it for many years! :thumbup::D:thumbup:

Thanks, GT. Nice group of Stock knife carries for this week. :thumbup: There's nothing like a stockman! I still think that Marbles is a gorgeous one.

I've got the 72 with me today

Curtis - That is outstanding bone on that 72.:thumbup:

Brilliant choice, Ron! :cool::thumbup:

In another recent thread, I explained that I'm not following my regular weekly carry schedule this week so I could enjoy carrying some knives I've recently received from BF friends. Here are some of this week's carries.
Four stockmen (thanks, Randy, Keith, Ron, and Dean :)):

Gary - Thanks for the compliments my friend!:) It appears that Santa was very good to you. :eek::D

It appears that Earl is having another great adventure. Thanks for the great photo. :)

For one of my first posts, one of my first traditionals - though largely forgotten about until the other day...

Case 1.2.jpg

This morning just after 8 am -24.7C:eek: Thankfully the car's in a heated garage, not that common here....:grumpy:

I got this from the Exchange last year and the previous owner had really sharpened the D2 up nicely, not that easy with small blades. It's become my favourite Stockman as it's more like a Gent's Penknife with extra blades. Fine snap, more proof in my book that Queen's Carved Stagbone knives are some of their very best. I wish GEC would make a Small Stockmann like this as it's really useful and pocket friendly.

Now to brave the cold...:barf::eek::D

I have the same exact Stockman, the shield is glued not pinned so keep an eye on it, mine popped out and luckily I found it in my and scuffed it, put epoxy on it and put it in a vise for 24 hrs. That was 7 years ago and it hasn't budged yet.

The D2 is great and takes a razor's edge, all blades have half stops except my main/primary blade seems like it has 1/4 stops does yours?

Carrying these two today :) Have a good week everyone :thumbup:

Ted I've had the shield drop out of its counterpart the No.2 Jack, real nuisance:barf: but fortunately retrieved it and glued it back (upside down:D ) Was thinking of prising the shield off the Stockman and re-glueing it myself just for safety. What's interesting is that I wouldn't say it has half-stops on any blade, kind of will stop if you allow it but no smart jump like on other knives, I like it though as it has a very nice smooth opening action on all blades coupled with decent loud snap. The Forum Knife 08 you show was based on the same frame but the carbon blades are nowhere near as good.

What's that Tip bolstered knife next to the Forum Knife? Looks really good!:thumbup::cool:

Thanks, Will

Will that's an old 4 line Camillus Equal End Jack/Large Pen, with either a dyed bone or black comp. and after much searching a friend of mine who specializes in Camillus knives said as near as he could tell he believes it's an employee's knife that was made somewhere between late 1910-1920s. He found similar knives even in the catalog but they were different enough to not be the same knife but production variants abounded and this one was supposedly rare.
