What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Yesterday in my pocket, was this KA-BAR lockback trapper in reclaimed chestnut made by Canal Street. This was the first knife for me that was a step above the Schrades, Cases, and Bucks that I had previously. Don't get me wrong - I appreciate those "working" knives and still use them frequently. This KA-BAR is still just a "Sunday in the pocket" knife for me.

Primble - That is a fine SW 294 there my friend. I think it is a nice example of the quality and workmanship that this company was producing through the years. :)

I am Totin' this Case 6249W CV today :D

Great-looking combo Tom

Thanks Jack! I got lucky with the light on that pic.

Dynamite duo, Tom! (I'm usually totally distracted by your knives each day, but I think I have to start paying attention to your sheath options, too.)

Thanks GT! The sheath just depends on my mood, and whether or not I think it'll get wet :). Your pics are looking good sir

This #33 is elegant and nicely fits into a suit pocket:

Great stag on a small knife!

One more look from today:

Cocobolo? Looks great.

The jigging on your knives are almost always unreal.

For me, its the workhorse again.

Primble, I just kept on staring at your SW 294 and I finally realized that the shield is the same one as our 2015 Forum knife. :D

Thank you!:)

Rachel - Love the pair, especially this fine Keen Kutter.

Will that's an old 4 line Camillus Equal End Jack/Large Pen, with either a dyed bone or black comp. and after much searching a friend of mine who specializes in Camillus knives said as near as he could tell he believes it's an employee's knife that was made somewhere between late 1910-1920s. He found similar knives even in the catalog but they were different enough to not be the same knife but production variants abounded and this one was supposedly rare.

Ted Many thanks for the extra pictures and the background, really like that pattern and it has an unusual type of shield too Kind of 'Tulip'. What a fantastic knife. It's the pattern, or Sleeveboard, that I'm dreaming GEC would make, a Tip bolstered knife. I find some of their patterns can be a bit over bolstered in terms of proportions. They could do with offering a small shadow pattern too....

Greeting All!!

Thanks for the comments Jack and GT. GT you are correct, the Pioneer Settler has 2 blades. A very nice selection of knives you posted.

RobW, nice looking 33 Conductor!!

I 've been inspired by all the beautiful Stockman knives posted to carry one today. A slight variant in that its a #53 Cuban Stockman along with my usual SAK.
Today it's a Vic. Cadet II.
