As much as I want a GEC Dogleg, this is what I'm gonna get instead. I see it and drool. The dogleg will have to wait. This will by my first GEC.

Couldn't decide today so they both came along. Geez I think I'm changing EDC's midday everyday lately.

At the flea market yesterday, I ran into a gentleman knifemaker with a booth. Amongst many others, he had about 7 unused USA made Camillus knives, Stockmen and Electrician's Knives, $10/ea. Apparently the fellow from whom he aquired them had purchased many backups and engraved his initials on the bolsters of each. I selected this Stockman, which had some surface issues but has incredible snap, tight backsprings and tight scales. No gaps anywhere. Took some sandpaper and mineral oil to it and it's going in the pocket for my hike up the ridge today :cool:

I just got this Case congress with CV blades in the mail and it hasn't earned a patina yet. I haven't had a congress in years but it used to be one of my favorite patterns and it might become my favorite again. I'm looking forward to using it.

Left my regular carry knives in my work pants and carried the Buck 302 today all day including two church services. It was a comfort being there.

Thomas, Mack, those Case jack knives are top shelf. Just beautiful. Ed J
