A little companion of over 10 years: a Case Doctors knife. I prefer single blades, but also find a second tool very useful, especially to avoid ruining the edge of the lade. In this case it's the spatula, which gets used often.

I carried just the mini copperhead today. You guys know what it looks like. Got a new Winchester jack in from Jason Baker and will probably carry it the rest of the week. No photo yet.

I had yesterday a Mishap, since I carry my Dogleg jack and my small custom linelock folder in black slipsheaths, I accidently had two modern knives yesterday, so to make that up I carried these two today:

A schrade 897UH that is pretty beat up. I found it several years ago cleaning up a whale watch boat that I worked on. The main blade has some play to it and the sheepsfoot blade hits the spine of the spey blade when I close it but it is sharp as heck and I enjoy using it so I stuck it in my pocket a few days ago. When the fancy strikes me I have also been carrying a Sears stockman that my brother gave me. I ventured back into traditional to lurk a few weeks ago and somehow a traditional found its way into my pocket. go figure :D

Gus, what a CAPTIVATING Cramer! I could stare at it for hours . . . and that's just the picture!

How do you ever get anything done with a knife like that in your pocket?!?

Yeah, and I passed it to him at the Blade Show and gave him first right of refusal!!! What was I thinking?

(And it couldn't have gone to a better friend.)

Well, Ken Erickson's phone call today booted the ol' Moore Maker out of my pocket and landed this baby in there in its stead ;) :

Nothings changed in my pocket in a little over a month or so except for tad more patina progress on the hi-carbon steel blades on this double dotted '78 Case Stockman 64047P..

THE blade combo and FAB stag on the Erickson, Blues, nice choice (although with your collection I don't know how you could make a poor one!).

Back to this old Cuban today.

Thanks, Jeff. Hopefully, Ken will never realize how I took a chisel to that elephant ivory it was originally scaled with in its first incarnation. I like it a lot better now!
