What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Wonderful knives and pics all!

Thanks for the kind comments Gev and Dean.

I like that rimfire Chui.
Great #54 mitch4.
Beautiful set of stag knives Harry.
That's one good looking Harness Jack RobW.
The Electrician is very nice GT. That one is on my list which seems to be getting longer every day.

Today it's a Boker Barlow and a Wenger serrated Esquire.

Have a pleasant afternoon and evening everyone!

Wow that is such a nice knife! Who made this particular one....doesn't look like GEC. The jigging is really unique with some sweet looking coloring.

Thanks texmex. This was Charlie's second Harness Jack release. Queen made this under their Schatt & Morgan brand. The quality was outstanding and I believe they were made in Golden Root (75) Ebony (25) and candy stripe Celluloid (9). I also believe that all but 2 of the celluloid have since offgassed.

Charlie can correct anything I've mistaken. Here's a shot of the back, which has different texture:

Giving the Nieto another break while I try out the new Taximanny sodbuster in O1 and OD Canvas Micarta:

Sun is shining as warm weather approaches. Needs stropped. :)

Thank you Mr. Jack - hope you have a fine visit with Mr. Shaw tomorrow !:)

Thank you Mr P  Yes, it was good to see him :)

Two interesting Case knives Ron

Congratulations, that looks good, nice work Jeff

Jack, many (most?) of the MAM models are available with or without the liner lock. The one I posted has no liner lock, but I have a larger drop point model with liner lock. Is a locking blade illegal in Yorkshire?

That's interesting, only one stockist here, and (apart from a small sausage eater) they all have liner-locks. Strange, as I dare say they'd sell more without the locks. You can legally carry a lock-knife here, but if challenged by the law you'll have to give a strong justification for needing it, and in all probability have to explain yourself in court.

Having another go here (continued from above) :(

Have a great trip, Jack!

Thanks my friend, an interesting selection, as always

Nothing beats sleeping in ones own bed.

Something you only learn from extensive travel I think. Dorothy was right! :D

Terrific carries today sir

Many thanks :)

I envy your meeting with the Master! Tell him hello for me.

I reckon Jack is wandering down the streets of Sheffield this morning, trying to find Stan's place. ;):D:D:D

Great carries again Mr P  I made it to see Stan, who was working on some very fancy folding dirks, and an even fancier Coachman's Knife with beautiful MOP covers and solid silver bolsters. The poor feller was telling me about an accident he had recently where a bolster fell off the bench, cut his leg, and left him in a pool of blood and in need of 4 stitches  He was a guest of honour at a bash for some top US engineers the other night who were left astonished by a viewing of some of his knives. A longstanding Member of Parliament for Sheffield was present, with a background in steel and engineering, and he was completely unaware of both Stan, and that knives were still made in Sheffield! Here's a pic of Stan's bench today, the phone rang just as I was leaving, so Stan's over in the background talking on the phone. Hoping this Google link works (since Photobucket still has problems :grumpy)!
