Today it's a Case Bartenders Knife and a Vic Gardener.
A picture of the Moon and Jupiter last night.
Have a good afternoon all!
Ken K.
Interesting pair, Ken! It's like you have two careers: a gardener by day, and "moonlighting" (great photo!) as a bartender!
I know, Midwest winters right? I like that Congress GT, it is a pattern I have not explored at all but they look very versatile.
Thanks, Tom.

As I noted, I like using them, but just don't carry them much. I keep lusting after a nice Boker congress, but then forget that fact when I actually have some knife budget to spend.
I am carrying my vintage Rodgers and son knife. This gem has checkered ebony scales and nice snap even after over 100 years!
Outstanding, Ernie; that checkered ebony is incredible! You sure have some fine old knives!
...
Thanks,
GT. I think the two-bladed Day's Work might be just the one for you!
I'm carrying one of my ebony Huckleberrys for this Wooden Wednesday.
You might be right about a 2-bladed Days' Work, Dean; maybe the reason I prefer 2-bladed knives over single blades is I hope they'll help me be more efficient!

That Huckleberry is pure class! (The Porch is a tolerant place, in general; I hope I don't get in trouble for never really consciously observing Wooden Wednesday.

)
...
Only the one knife today - it is as snappy as any new knife that I own.

:
Snappy, and downright snazzy, Primble! Any tips on how you primbleize your old coins? I picked up some old Indian/buffalo nickels, but they just dont look like yours!
Not sure if there's a historical reason for both, I suspect somewhat stylistic. I do like the nail nick closer to the tip for leverage. Especially on the 32. Without the nail nick it would be a real nail breaker.
Thanks for the conjectures, Joel; the leverage comment makes sense to me.
Historically, they existed:
...
That is a remarkable equal-end knife (or is it a sleeveboard?)! Superb, Primble!
Couple of very cool knives, PP! What model is that equal-end knife on the top?
Lovely old canoe, balor; that blade etch is iconic!
Same I find the 7 is the perfect balance. The 6 is nice but my 7 has broken in like butter
Very nice colours and jigging on that Congress~
Lanny's Clip today in action and..water
Thanks, Tim. Dynamic Lannys Clip!
This one's been keeping others out of the pocket for weeks now...
Very attractive pocket bully, Glenn!
Some nice RRs there, that canoe always impresses with the vibrant color of the handles.
It might not be the best idea to send me on a GEC hunt for a stag toothpick right now. I'm already saving up for this year's run of #77s, pending configuration and material, plus I have a hankering for an #85 and I definitely plan to put aside some cash for a '16 forum knife (or four

) if Charlie's masterful stewardship helps bring one to fruition.
Today's Wooden Wednesday entrant along with this week's stalwarts.
Thanks for the canoe compliment, Tsar.

Sounds like you're a man with a plan regarding your knife finances! That Case tuxedo is quite intriguing; terrific trio in a tree!
Nice knives today everyone...at home dog sitting with Buddy Boy, my pal is having a tough time but still wagging his tail. One very tough old Boy:thumbup:
This #56 clad in ebony with a very work orientated blade
Thank you very much Harry, that feeling always stays with you as fond memories. We've done it for our other dogs but Buddy possesses a LARGE part of this old Mans heart. Gonna be tough but he deserves not to suffer. I will not allow him to suffer.
Thank you Gev, it's all about lovin and goodbyes tonight. I thought it fitting that we are watching NOTRE DAME basketball together one last time as they play Wake Forest. Every time in the past my son's and I would leap into the air cheering and Buddy accompanied us with his trademark howl....clearly, he's an IRISH fan

...
That ebony 56 is amazing, Paul!

Fantastic that you can keep making memories with Buddy right up to the end!
Running late today, but I have been in good company.

I had my OO 73 along today.
That one looks fantastic, Ron, and seems to look even better every day!
...
Along with one of my old IXLs (shown at the site of Sheffield's first water-powered wheel)
Preeminent pearl, Jack!!
New Rough Rider peanut today with smooth white bone. I purchased this one with a nice scrimshaw by Donna Ruprecht. The lighthouse is also part of the corporate logo of where I work, so it fits well. First peanut too!
Congrats, Jeff; thats a stunner!
I have been carrying my #25 Tidioute Burnt Orange LJ Spearpoint for a week know and am delighted with this great little slicer so much more generally useful than the Sheepfoot #25 i had been toting for a while.Hopefully i shall be able to get some pictures up soon.
Looking forward to some photos, OMR! Im with you on the spearpoint blades; I think a sheepsfoot is sexy, but when it comes to versatility and familiarity, give me a spearpoint.
I habitually carry my micarta Soda Scout. Every once in a while, I try to carry something else for a day, but nothing ever sticks. So it's always the Soda Scout, day in and day out. It's just so perfect and handy.
Very nice! Looks like that Scout does plenty of work for you, Buzzbait.
Today I carried a H. Dorwal, which I'm starting to really like to carry, and a Vic Electrician.
Have a good one everyone.
Ken K.
Silver and black combos always look very distinguished to me; notable pair, Ken!
Took the Old Guys , Mr. Russell and Mr. Oates and my old Pal to exercise and coffee with my friends and then checked over the snow moving stuff.
...

... 7:47 P.M. Car on the Lake is still on it and not in it .
Harry
Your "3 Musketeers" are gorgeous old guys, Harry!

Thanks for the car update.
...
Today I dropped the 55 Houndstooth in the pocket.
Wow, Ron, that knife is a movie star; beauteous wood!
...
I'm carrying this Ancient parchment bone Barlow today.
That is a fantastic photo of your Ancient, Dean! What's the document? Is it on parchment? Do you read Hebrew?
I agent on another hike today. I can not wait for spring!
...
Nice shot of that smooth bone favorite of yours, Erik! I can't wait for spring either, especially since we went from bare ground to 10 inches of snow Wednesday afternoon and night!
A MAM Iberica linerlock and a Taylor-Schrade muskrat (thanks, Randy) have kitchen duty this week; both very capable slicers!
