Have a great weekend, all!

TsarBomba, now that you've been carrying that Tuxedo all week what do you think of it as an EDC? I've thought about getting one of those for a few years, but never pulled the trigger. It looks like it would almost disappear in your pocket. I like the looks of that patina'd stockman, too! :thumbup:

Today the charlow brought me luck in my presentation to the CIO to get approval for a $200,000 annual expense!

That's got to be the best looking good luck charm I've seen in awhile, Jeff!

Mac's big blade is coming along nicely, isn't it. :D

I'll post a more thorough summation in the challenge thread, but overall the tuxedo has proven to be a useful knife for its size. It positively vanishes in the pocket, so I made sure to put it in a sleeve for more flexibility in carrying. I don't know what the "typical" Case tuxedo has but this one has a "bulgy" sheepsfoot master and a tiny Wharncliffe for a pen blade. The small Wharnie is really the wonder of this knife, makes it perfect for detail work. I have large hands (remember, I carry a Case #75 nearly every day :D), so the tux may not be the best for all jobs or users, but it has always been a fantastic shirt pocket knife and makes an excellent counterpoint to a bigger knife. Plus the blade combo on mine makes it easy to justify most days. All told, it's a common weekend companion and I will definitely seek more opportunities to carry it the rest of the week.

Jack
The Harrison Fisher bone is awesome....wow!!!
Primble

Heading out with my ladies this evening, these two fine knives are with me,

Have a great evening everyone

So Primble’s got the NYKCs and Catts and you’ve got the Queen scout knives. So many markets cornered! :grumpy:

I think that Ulster is my favorite of all because it’s basically Harry’s Knife. Its history is your history. The stag is pretty and the Viper is a functional dream but I imagine the miles you’ve put on that little swell-center make it the most valuable of all. :thumbup:

Well, despite my best intentions I never got anywhere near the forum yesterday after getting home. I did take a picture of the day’s carry during what turned out to be the highlight of the day. The fish sandwich was delicious but sadly the lighting was terrible.

Ha! In truth I have a weakness for all scouts, and seem to be able to find something to like about each one ;). Your pic made me hungry :thumbup:

That Queen looks like one stout knife

Thanks Gev! It is not perfect, but a good user :).

Thanks a lot Ron, I'm rather pleased with it. That's a fine pair you're carrying today :) :thumbup:

Thank you Jack. :)

Ron - the Osage Orange Viper is a beauty !

Thanks Primble. :)

Today the charlow brought me luck in my presentation to the CIO to get approval for a $200,000 annual expense!

Congrats on that budget, but a Big :thumbup: on that Charlow!:thumbup:

Ron A man who is without a Small Texas Jack may find himself at a disadvantage, or prey to Peanut Cult members :eek::eek::D I'd get another one if I were you. GEC's 76 Outlaw is an interesting 'reverse' version of the pattern only bulkier. They did a great Tidioute version in a kind of WB Bone that I regret not buying when I had the chance.:grumpy:

Regards, Will

Will, forgive me my friend. I am the proud owner of a Stag 76 Outlaw, senior moment.:eek:

Gev, that is a beauty. At first sight the Northwoods Presidential came to mind, but then I realized that this was much older than that. What is it and what do the blades look like? Please show more!:D

Ron
I think they have a new ceutical for your viper addiction;):D

I looked up the word and I am more confused than I was when I read it the first time. Skin care?:confused::confused:

My version of a sway back. All steel pins, liners and bolsters with long pull warncliff blade

Fantastic satin on that charlow Jeff. Congrats on the approval as well.

A great Barlow and a good choice in blades for that apple. You should see me trying to slice fruit with the spey blade on my carbon stockman to help the patina along a little... :grumpy:

Have a great weekend, all!

Thanks Tsar, indeed. That spey should make a fine slicer though :)

Thanks, Tim. Dynamic Lanny’s Clip! :thumbup:

- GT

Thanks GT, I carried a wood handled workhorse today too :)

A cool photo of a great knife, Tim. It looks like you just cut the fruit and snapped a photo. :):thumbup:

I'm carrying this Ancient parchment bone Barlow today.

Thanks Dean, that's actually exactly what happened :D

Tim - That is a great photo of your TC my friend!:) Good job! :thumbup:

Thank you Ron :) I like how full of lustre the covers on your 55 are.

The two from today.

Ron, it's a Shapleigh D.E. HDW Co. 3 & 5/8th flat bolstered equal end peach of a wreck;):eek::D Spear main and the secondary is ground into a punch:eek: I could not resist the bolster and bone for the song;) I will post more pictures of it open tomorrow. Thanks my friend!

ceutical....a potion ( whereas a pharmaceutical is a poison that shuts down metabolic pathways and a nutriceutical is a nutrient necessary for the proper functioning of metabolic pathways )
I was just playing around....we must be deficient in some nutrient to want all these knives:D

Left the Peanut, was a great carry and for some it's ideal, but I wanted to give this Case Mini Copperhead a go and got this today, very nice folder, still watch pocket carry size;

Carrying my Old Friend Ulster bought in 1961 and carried most days until I retired in 2003 . Plus my Viper and 47 Harvester just because I feel better with some Stag in a pocket.

Love your old Ulster everyday knife Harry !

Today,
~ P.

Very nice Sarah ! :thumbup::)

Another pair of unbelievableness!!!!!!

Harry

Thank you Harry. :thumbup::)

TsarBomba I'm going to just start quoting your post with a "ditto". That's a masterful multi quote!

Today the charlow brought me luck in my presentation to the CIO to get approval for a $200,000 annual expense!

I suppose the cost of that beautiful TC seems minimal now. ;):thumbup::D

Nicely paired Mr P :) :thumbup:

Thank you good sir. :thumbup::)

Work has been slow the past two weeks, so I went on another hike today. This one turned out to be a bit of a fiasco, so I never got around to taking pics on the trail.

I really like the new steel bolstered Northfields ! :thumbup::)

I have to say my 77 Barlow is my best work knife always in my pocket and used for anything not abusive. And when I get home I oil and strop it
