What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Thank you Ron :) I like how full of lustre the covers on your 55 are.

Thank you Tim, that 55 was my 1st ever Great Eastern knife and it does have some beautiful Bocote. I bought it after I discovered the world outside of Case and Schrade. I owe it all to the Porch! I am loving all these TC's you have acquired lately. Some very classy additions to your collection.

Ron, it's a Shapleigh D.E. HDW Co. 3 & 5/8th flat bolstered equal end peach of a wreck;):D Spear main and the secondary is ground into a punch:eek: I could not resist the bolster and bone for the song;) I will post more pictures of it open tomorrow. Thanks my friend!

I was just playing around....we must be deficient in some nutrient to want all these knives:D

Thanks for the info Gev. It is a lovely knife to say the least.

Love the GEC 79 pattern...

Jeff, I love that Bocote Workhorse. A great pattern and a wonderfully pocket friendly folder.

For Stag Saturday I will be totin' my 76 Outlaw Gunstock Jack. Have a great weekend! :D

So proud of my dye job. The russlock was slightly lighter than the slimline. I used some combination. Of these

washed with soap, brought knife covered with water to a simmer, added dye, simmered 30 min. Kept monitoring, shut heat off, and let sit for 15 min. The rinsed and oiled.
So these will be o. My side today. Though the slimline might be darker tonight.

Thanks Tsar. The Boker has turned out to be a sweet little knife. My new project is going to be my first that has added bolsters. And black burlap homemade micarta. I have to fix the spring though. I goofed a little. If it works I'll disclose what I did to fix it. 😀
My 30th birthday is coming up on Tuesday. My wife asked what I wanted so I sent her a link to a GEC 73 in black box brown jigged bone. It was used but the price was too good to ignore. So hopefully, I'll have my Grail knife to show in this thread on Monday. I'm super excited right now!!!!

Carrying these guys for the day. Happy Saturday everyone!

Still in my PJ' s drinking my coffee , So I got an week old Imperial Lockback IMP0028 I been tweaking and I keep a Barlow and a Canoe in my bucket boss line coffee cup.

Already mid afternoon here :) I've had these two with me today, the Harrison Fisher Crown Penknife I was carrying yesterday, and a Robeson HJ gifted to me by Duncan a couple of years back :)

Gevo Thanks brother! Can't wait to see pic's of your knife open.

Nice work Mark! I really like your take on the Swayback.

Jack, the bone on that pen knife looks great, but that Robeson is something special. I love everything about that knife!

Mark, you're really getting the hang of this knife making stuff. :D
The handle shape on the fixed blade is really nice. The swayback ain't to shabby either.

Mark, I like how you did the grind on that Swayback. Makes the blade look like a true working blade with the extra meat left on the bone along the spine. The thin long pull helps with the look as well. Very well done sir!

Haven't carried this guy for some time. Rotating it back in.

Taking the 22 along for company

These two from Tony Bose are with me on this morning,

Zulu fixed in ATS 34 and handled by Rick Menefee in Rick's signature green micarta with orange liners, along with a Texas jack, #2, vintage Remington bone and ATS 34. Sheath by the talented Larry Parsons

We use the Zulu a lot in the kitchen as a paring knife, it gives our Kramer a run for the money.

Have a great Saturday, folks

JSCHENK - a GREAT improvement on both of those !:)

In honor of the beautiful canine Buddy, I decided to carry these two knives - in memory of.

R.I.P. Buddy Boy !

As requested. It wasn't perfect and I thought it looked lonely and wanted it to feel the family of things:D

" Meanwhile the sun and the clear pebbles of the rain / are moving across the landscapes, / over the prairies and the deep trees, / the mountains and the rivers. / Meanwhile the wild geese, high in the clean blue air, / are heading home again. / Whoever you are, no matter how lonely, / the world offers itself to your imagination, / calls to you like the wild geese, harsh and exciting— / over and over announcing your place / in the family of things."

Mary Oliver - "Wild Geese"
