What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

The little coyote is such a great slicer. Don't see it leaving my pocket anytime soon. Infact, I am waiting on some fixed blades to compliment it :D

These two today...all steel.

Oh, wow. Classic designs, superb bone on both - late night dreams.

I carried these two today - one my EDC the other a frequent companion.

Here are the two spoons I have at school. The big one is a piece of hickory I carved green that I use for a coffee scoop. The small one I just finished tonight with the Boker. A piece of advice; don't carve old seasoned hickory! My hands are worn out, and I put a pretty ugly gash in my left index finger roughing it out.

Those spoons are A-1, Ben!

…Thanks GT :) I tried to pick up a couple of the smaller Joker knives in that pattern for other members at the weekend, and it seems that Joker have discontinued them - the smallest size at least - the guy in the shop looked through the whole 2016 Joker catologue, and they weren't in there :(
…
Carrying these two today, both gifts from good friends, my Todd Davison given to me a while back by Stephen, who used to post here as ‘Old & In The Way’, and the Coyote, which I received from Paul PMEW just yesterday :)

Sorry to hear that the small Jokers (with olive wood handles??) are disappearing, Jack. :( But you’re carrying a very admirable pair today! Congrats on the new Coyote!

No more little Jokers, Jack? That's a bit disappointing. I hoped to come across a ram's horn one like GT's someday.
…

That pair is aces, Rachel! FWIW, my horn Jokers are bull horn, not ram’s horn (but I’m considering trying ram’s horn covers from Robert Klaas ;)).

GT Thanks for liking my new Blackwood, it's a charmer:thumbup: I'm impressed, I may know something about lit, history, art but maths is an area of imbecility for me-even though I respect it. Biology, horticulture I have a good grasp of but maths...:eek:sadly none beyond mental arithmetic (I suppose that's something these days!:D ) You Sir, are the 'Compleat Man' in the Renaissance ideal!
Will, if I were a “Compleat Man”, I think I’d have more comprehensive knowledge of, and deeper appreciation for, a much wider variety of knives than is actually the case!

Carrying my modded S&M gunstock I just finished last night. This one is going to be on me for a while!

That’s an arresting knife, Ben, and the WIP link shows what an amazing mod you did!!

Thanks GT. You can still find Bokers with that herringbone type jigged bone. And that's a great trio you have there. Looks like you've got your bases covered
…
Thanks for the info and the kind words, Trand. :)

…
Thanks GT. You imperial jack is a stunner. I see your love for canoes though :)

With me today, plata o acero

Alluring pair of TCs, Tim! Thanks for the comment on that old Imperial jack. :)

Thanks GT! I really like this Imperial, what is the length please and thank you?
…
Gold, black, and white today for the Boston Bruins. The team I cheer for when My team is predictably bounced from the playoffs every year.

Thanks, Tom. :) The Imperial is 3 3/8” closed, and tang stamp indicates 1936-1952 era. You can read a little more about it here: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/1320823-Nostalgia-at-the-Gun-amp-Knife-Show
Your gold and your black today are a couple of my favorite knives of yours (but is it fair to use gold and black for a second time this week? ).

…
I'll carry one that another missing in action friend gave me...Mr. Primble. Hope all is well fellas:D Maybe it will guide them back;)

Aristocratic old Barlow, Gev! I don’t remember posts from Primble for at least a week; I hope he’s not still mourning his beloved UK basketball team going out of the NCAA Tournament!:eek:

Artistic photo(s) of astonishing knives, Pete!

My case russlock at work
Keith, this pic is also pretty awesome!

I didn't know it stood for anything else but that .... :D;)
Really really like seen Joker GT. Great grain to it.

Thanks for the Joker comment, Dan. :) That’s an august friction folder you posted!

Beguiling pair, Dean; a couple of my favorites from the “RDaneel Collection”!

Nice shot :)

Nice to see that Michael Morris Dan  I was only thinking yesterday, that when I first started posting here, they seemed to be quite popular, but not seen one in a while.

The glass is definitely half full

Lookin good, Dan!

I'm a bit surprised you don't see more of them around here. Based on his wait list, there certainly seems to be demand. Anyways, I'm looking forward to showing mine off once I get it, but I'm still a month or two down the list (and I got on it in July of last year ).

Very nice Dan. Thanks to you and all the Michael Morris chatter afterwards, I had to dig mine out of the drawer for today's carry :)

Thanks for the additional information GT, much appreciated. And I figured another gold/black pair would be ok as it was two different knives and I was referencing a different sport :D

My attempt to represent the St. Louis Cardinals (baseball), in red, navy blue, and yellow. I don't think I have ever only carried SAKs for a whole day, this should be fun.

Still carrying the little stag #25, and enjoying it more and more every day. I'll probably carry this one through the weekend, then pick another under-carried "nice" knife for next week. I've got to break the habit of not carrying a knife just because it's more polished or high-end than the others I carry more frequently (heck, nothing I own is all that "high-end" anyways, especially compared to some of the customs on here).

Side story regarding that #25 - I thought I lost it last night. I had it in my pocket all day, I'd used it a couple times at the house after work, then we went bowling last night, and about halfway through our second game I reached into my pocket and the knife wasn't there! I checked my other pockets, didn't find anything; started thinking about where I had sat down (which really wasn't anywhere, I had been standing most of the time). I came to the hopeful conclusion that either I'd taken out of my pocket at home earlier and left it sitting somewhere, or it had fallen out in my truck on the way there. Sure enough, when we left the bowling alley, I found it wedged between the console and the driver's seat. Crisis averted. :D
