What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

26317179565_5156de44e6_b.jpg

Put a bit of a forced patina on the Black Box stockman .

Carried this one today. An old Sabre hawkbill that was in poor shape I just finished rebuilding. …
Jaw-dropping makeover, Bighaze51; you must be absolutely jubilant over the way that turned out!

The Baby Butterbean was my Dad's first Case knife back in 2004 in pocket worn red bone. Carrying this one today, I can see why he loved it so much. After stepping out of the box, I am officially addicted to the Canoe patterns and - uh - Dewar's too. [emoji6]

…
Aren’t canoes joyful knives to carry?? I wonder if you could find a canoe with a punch; maybe that’s your grail knife! ;)

It spoke to me to stop at this point. ;)

Seeing the before/after shots makes me appreciate your talents even more, Primble! Sometimes I’ll think, “Primble’s knives sure look killer when he’s finished with them, but he probably starts out with pretty luscious ones.” But these pics show that you certainly pay your dues in rehabbing!

…
Thank you GT _ I reckon you didn't think much of my ole Imperial Scout then. ;):D
…
Au contraire, mon frère! :D I like old Imperials, but all of my experience with them involves the clamshell, crimp-on-bolster designs. I really liked seeing that Scout with pivot pin showing in the bolster!

…Friday afternoon/ evening carry...

That's a lulu, Dan! (Both knife and photo):thumbup:

Northwoods Iron River, Case Sowbelly

…Today I'm going with a GEC Talon and a Vic Pioneer.

…
Ken K.
I’ve been complaining all month about the arctic air coming out of Canada and spoiling springtime, but I’ve got to admit there are luxurious pairs of knives coming out of Canada each day from Mike and Ken! I find the Case sowbelly and the red Pioneer especially laudable!

In Memory of Merle Haggard
…
That knife is practically luminescent, Gev; wow! Lovely tribute!

…The Sheepfoot in Smooth Ivory Bone was my first GEC. I've loved carrying and using it. I decided to try to dye it with Hibiscus tea a while back and it didn't go well, so I dyed it black today. Probably the only black bone TC haha

That "black ivory" TC is pretty lavish, ALLHSS! And congrats on the "heavy metal" camp knife!

Laser razor.

That’s a ludicrously cool pic, traumkommode!

Lovely handful of stag, Harry!

Carrying this morning's very amateur scrimshaw project today.

Amateur, but you must like the way it came out, Barrett! Very keen!

Thanks GT, Ken K. and Dan...
the Hiroaki Ohta is 3 3/4 closed...with the SBJ today

Meritorious pair of knives, Steve!

Today, my new Opinel No. 8...

IMG_20160409_124629.jpg

...
Congrats on the Opinel, charon; you've got a memorable, uniform patina on the blade already!!

I'm finally carrying my all time favorite knife again. I found one of these on my way to school when I was 7 or 8 years old. I carried it every day until I was well into my 20s and somehow lost it.
I replaced it last week and will not lose this one.

Congrats on your "reunion", protourist; hope the two of you have a marvelous time!

Cool pic, Erik ; that's not your Presidential, is it?? And it has to be good to know that your pooch isn't a vampire! :D

I picked this one up today, locally. Would have never have bought one of these without handling it first. In hand, I get it.

Mint Seahorse Whittler, BMC; congrats!

Epitome of elegance, Bob!

Nice knives and pics today guys!
Ted's post of the Lone Wolf/Loveless City knife prompted me to carry this fixed blade City Knife made by Eldon Talley. I've also put the Case/Bose Norfolk in my pocket for the day.

Majestic black/white pair, Gary! Your Norfolk always grabs my attention!

Time to pop this porter and enjoy the final round of The Masters. A wharncliffe lockback whittler built by Joel Chamblin is with me, CTS XHP blades, stag and gold pins. I am giving Cory's new knife a once over before it gets packaged up. Have a great Sunday folks.

Today I carried a RR sawcut Barlow, a Kershaw speed safe, my "engraved" 8OT I got and a Opinel#8. Strange today I left my SAK at Home and I didn't miss it.

Just fiddling around the house today. Helping my wife put out some seasonal flowers and re-pot some plants. Moving things from one spot to another, and then occasionally back to where they started. :) Its cloudy but otherwise a beautiful day here. Hope everyone is having a great weekend.

I have not posted in this thread since Wooden Wednesday. But I have been totin' every day. I have been in a stockman mood this week. :D

Not as Great a weekend as you are having with that Fish Barlow! Beautiful.

I'm carrying my latest find: a little barehead jack by Terrier Cutlery. There's just something about carrying a 100 year old knife. :) LO (or is it LD?) took good care of it.

Been carrying the boat anchor the last few days. It's honestly not to terrible in the jeans pocket as long as it doesn't turn sideways on you. I used the opener on a few beers at a BBQ , cut open some meat packages etc. definitely a fun one to mess around with.

johnnyfive, that does not appear to be an authentic knife made by Bob Loveless. The stamp is crooked and it is not correct for Bob's Lawndale stamp. Please correct me if I am wrong, but the ends of the original logo should have a line behind the sideways triangle end. Email sent, I would love to hear more, thanks.
