What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Thanks for inquiring 5kq. It's a 97ot; came with tweezers and a scribe that tuck away nicely in the handle. Schrade sure used to make some quality working knives!

I've had this 68 Pony Jack for years but have started carrying it again recently. I always thought the round tangs and equal ends of the 68 frame was superior to the 15 frame but it doesn't seem nearly as popular...

Took this one with me today!

Great photo of a superlative Barlow.

That Robeson is magnificent! Will you post some details about it, please??
- GT

It's a Queen made remake (I think they own the Robeson name) from around 1999 - 2000 (which is when I bought it). 3 1/4 inches closed. I haven't sharpened the main blade since I got it (and I have used it); it's ATS 34 steel that came super sharp. I'm not sure of the steel for the secondary, but it takes a good edge. It's a favorite although the bone on one side is cracked; it's still tight and carries so lightly I sometimes forget I have it with me.

That is just an unbelievable display of outstanding Stag and knives Kris !!!! I always appreciate your posts !! Thank you

Harry

Thanks Harry! Glad you can appreciate my pics.

Two from Tony Bose today, Texas jack and a Zulu fixed, Larry Parsons is building a very nice sheath for the Zulu.

Tomorrow, heading out on one of the finest trout fishing rivers in the world, Big Hole river. We will be on a drift boat all day, hope to catch some beauties. This bird and trout that James Behring Jr.(O1, Musk Ox, Sambar stag) made for me, will be on my side. Beautiful sheath from the talented Claude Scott, beaver inlay.

One more of just the knife, posting it here and the Sunday thread just because of how much I like the picture:

Today, like many of the days lately, I have been totin' this Old Red Sawcut Northfield Barlow. :D God Bless all you ladies and gentlemen out there that have served our country.

Changed the brakes on my Fiesta today. When I know the knife will get dirty or the edge dinged, I always seem to grab my Sodbuster Jr.

So, decided to pull out my picnic basket and take the wife on a jaunt...and lo' and behold...did not even remember I had...an Opinel No. 8 (circa 1990). In the basket, with the corkscrew, silverware, etc..
Kinda' like a Christmas stocking stuffer gift you find after the Holiday, way down the stocking, before putting it away till next year.

Thanks Jack! That's good to know about the illegal inches being centimeter.

A.L., that higo is beautiful! How is the fit and finish compared to a standard higo no kami?

I also decided to show my higo some love this morning.

It's very good! It has that same forged, organic feel as the regular one. It's bit stouter, steel handle being thicker and also the lever is thicker and longer.

I must agree with you about this, I am surprised that the #68 frame hasn't seen more milage.

Love this picture, looks like solid gold covers! :D

I have this 25 with me today. I don't carry it as much as I should, to be honest I'm not fond of the blade etch but I adore the corset shield.

You never know which ones are going to be super popular. It is a beautiful and sophisticated knife especially in Ebony. Part of the reason this thread is so popular is because people like discovering more knives to add to their mental "got have it" list.

I thought the Everyday Barlows by Northwoods would be more popular based on the popularity of the IRJ's and GEC's TC Barlows.
