Pleasing pair of Portuguese pocket knives, FBC! :thumbup:Thanks, Jack
When I pulled my knife out of my pocket to use it at work, I realized I grabbed the wrong one. So this is what I actually carried yesterday.

Thanks, Steve. Useful pair you have there!
Thanks, Bob; I dont think I know enough about gardens to ask anything technical.Gary, the orange flowering bush is some form of azalea. The garden is my wife's specialty so don't ask me anything too technical.![]()
Great shot of a primo knife, GuestWho! Your photos often have unique lighting; what sort of a set-up do you use?
Very cool Old Timer; thanks, quaboag. Thanks for inquiring 5kq. It's a 97ot; came with tweezers and a scribe that tuck away nicely in the handle. Schrade sure used to make some quality working knives![/IMG]![]()
I like the equal-end patterns, too (although if I had a #68 I think Id prefer a White Owl to the Pony Jack). Very distinguished-looking knife!
Thanks for the additional information, Dean. Sure is an appealing knife!
It's a Queen made remake (I think they own the Robeson name) from around 1999 - 2000 (which is when I bought it). 3 1/4 inches closed. I haven't sharpened the main blade since I got it (and I have used it); it's ATS 34 steel that came super sharp. I'm not sure of the steel for the secondary, but it takes a good edge. It's a favorite although the bone on one side is cracked; it's still tight and carries so lightly I sometimes forget I have it with me.
Pretty pair of knives, Harry! Youve got radishes in WI already? NICE!
That IS a fab foto! One more of just the knife, posting it here and the Sunday thread just because of how much I like the picture:

Very cool discovery, Wolfsschanze! Hope you and the Opinel enjoy renewing your acquaintance. So, decided to pull out my picnic basket and take the wife on a jaunt...and lo' and behold...did not even remember I had...an Opinel No. 8 (circa 1990). In the basket, with the corkscrew, silverware, etc..
Kinda' like a Christmas stocking stuffer gift you find after the Holiday, way down the stocking, before putting it away till next year.
