What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

You know we got the two best SFO 'yotes, right? ;)

Quite possibly. You've got a sweet one. I chose one with an unusual light colored edge, though the pile side is more of an overall mottled look:

This is my only knife in camel bone, and I really like it. It feels denser than cow bone somehow.

Mouth watering:D

Thank you. :D Those strawberries were the start of a beautiful patina.

that beauty must be sharp!
Been a while since I've posted anything but I've been carrying this 22 almost exclusively. It's slowly but surely starting to show some signs of pocket wear.

aging to perfection!
Boy howdy, you guys are posting up some real beauties !!! colour me green with envy :) I recently picked up this small Rough Rider whittler, 3" closed and rides in the watch pocket just fine and while it certainly needed to be sharpened up, it did so well and seems to keep the edge too. Has a split back spring, so one each for each of the smaller blades and combined for the main spear point blade.

I'm not much of a proponent for Rough Riders but that one does it for me on multiple levels.

You may have mine beat on the pile side, that's a really sweet slab.

I totally get the fixation with the density and feel, whenever I'm carrying the 'yote it dominates all the worry stone time, no matter how nice the other knives I'm carrying might be. :o

I am waiting to see if I can get a CFK bushcrafter in D2 with this amazing green-dyed camel bone handle. The one I saw was outstanding. I'm really starting to like this material.

Pulled this fabulous #38 Farmer Jack off the shelf and pressed it into service today. Here it is with a one-day old, English-ivy patina:

Goooooood morning Jack :)

It was a real nice surprise and treat chatting to you on the phone over the weekend - sorry you caught me up a tree, we'll have a better chat soon when I'm hunkered down with a coffee in a comfy chair..!

I now understand why you show us such a marvellous array of slippies on this thread since I have now learned that you indeed own just one or two knives!

It is a shame we don't live closer, but like many of these wonderful guys on this thread and forum, it is magnificent how we're able to chat through our hobby and love for things sharp and beautiful......long may it remain so

This is with me today...

Good morning Paul, it was lovely chatting to you on the phone. Yes, I'm sorry to have caught you up a tree, I hadn't expected that! :D If you are ever likely to find yourself up my way, please be sure to let me know my friend, it'd be a pleasure to show you around :) That is an absolutely wonderful Erickson, and a great photo too. Hope your day goes well, and have a great weekend

Bit of a change for me,but a pleasant one.

- real elegant, Andy........love it!

I remember very well going to Laguoile on the Harley about four years ago.........tell you what, you just don't know which way to look, and which shop to go in next...

But, as you can imagine, one or two of the shops had these Le Thiers in their window - some of them, one-off customs which were just stunning, stuff you don't see on the 'net.

Yes, again, like our friends in the 'States........the French have left the British production folder business wallowing in the swarf and dust of the 1890's.....!!

Thanks Paul, sad that we lost out way.For the cost this is a little stunner and uk legal.

Two horns again for me today! :D

Two great pics r8shell

Thanks, Jack. I'm often amazed that my cellphone has a better camera than my old digital one.

Lovely horn you're carrying, as usual.

Thanks, Jack. I'm often amazed that my cellphone has a better camera than my old digital one.

This is the main disadvantage of not staying on the bleeding edge of cellular communications. My personal phone is an iPhone 4S. The photos are passable but there are lots of disadvantages, not the least of which is the rather ornery and uncontrollable autofocus. Maybe it's time to upgrade to one of those nice new Samsungs.

Beautiful iron and steel, sir!

pardon the bad lighting

Barnboard mini-copperhead w/ Wharnie? Love it. I'm a big fan of Case's barnboard bone.

Mine today:

Happy Friday!

Wow stunning. Love the fine coined liners.

Bingo. My only true gripe about this knife is the rounded tip on the wharncliffe (and the pen blade is a little lazy opening). But the covers are beautiful. I need to get some better photos.
Your barnboard sowbelly is another great example.
