Great pic Travman

The patina is starting to form on this beer scout where I pinch it open. Haven't decided if I will eventually polish it off or just let it go.

Enjoying a beautiful morning, this wharncliffe lock back whittler, built for me by Joel Chamblin, is with me. CTS XHP, stag, and gold pins

Working from home with a Swiss Army Hiker today.
I normally only use/carry my Alox models. I forgot how cool the red plastic versions are. Nice and light and they look like you should be eating GORP and wearing an enormous Tilley hat!

The compass is not carried at home ;)

"GORP"! I haven't heard that for years (certainly not here anyway)! :) Cool pic, I like the compass my friend - we all need a moral compass ;) :D

Enjoy your visit--I'm sure you two will have a fantastic time! ...and it goes without saying that we'd love to read all about it.

Thanks for showing that Pen. I really like the jigging on that bone--how it's faceted on the top and bottom of the handle. It looks like it might have two springs?

If knives could talk.....

As always, Jack, the knives you've chosen ooze class and character. Would you mind telling us all a bit more about the one perched atop the ball of twine?

Thanks a lot gents, really appreciated :) I'm sorry that I haven't had time recently to write about my perambulations in the way I used to Rob, I'll try to redress that soon  The knife is a (single spring) Crown Penknife by Harrison Fisher of Sheffield, 3 3/4" overall. I picked it up a few months back in a Sheffield antiques shop, it has great W & T, and has taken a wicked edge :)

Wow! Very nice ISK

Great pic, classic knife Dan

Lovely pair Tom

Always a treat to see that one Gev, cool pic :)

Carrying this one today.

By the way, if you live in the Southeast and have access to Southern Living Magazine be sure to read Rick Bragg's column at the back page. Entitled "The Point of a Good Knife", it will speak to you and make you smile. And if you're not yet a fan of Rick Bragg's work, you may become one!
