Used this for trimming vines after mowing the lawn this evening:

THINKING about taking this off the shelf and putting into rotation duty because I love the #38 frame so much, but I haven't committed yet:

Great collection! Best of GEC's high-alloy and low-alloy steels.

Thank you!

That's a beautiful lineup you got there.....

Makes me feel like you showing off that GEC #38 Whittler is telling me something. As it's been on the want list for a while now.

What do you think..... is it about time? :)

DO IT! Always better to have a new knife in rotation.

I haven't had much time lately for knife pics, but I snagged this picture this evening of my Peanut on an Oak tree that's popped up in our backyard. Carrying lots of Peanuts lately, planning to start a harvest. :D

Kevin, did I get the first name right? Relying on my memory is a dangerous thing:D regardless, the STAG on the Schatt is ABSOLUTELY beautiful:cool::cool::cool:

Really excellent composition, Shawn. And that peanut looks right at home. That's the old river log, right?

My new SowBelly.
That is a beautiful sowbelly! What kind of wood are those handles?

Thank you!

Thanks! I do love the #38 handle shape. It just molds itself to my hand. That's why I'm thinking of putting the Whittler into rotation. I have a few whittlers, and the red is my favorite. That's why I've been dithering over whether to use or save the Red Bone.

I don't think you'd be disappointed with the size, shape or fit & finish of a 38. Both the Farmer Jack and the Whittler are outstanding.

I'll have my #71 Bull Nose in my pocket while out hunting scorpions tonight. I've never been more excited to have a pest problem. :D

Yep, did the same thing. I was fortunate enough to snag mine off the Exchange for a very reasonable price.

One showed up here tonight (yellow rose 83) , waiting to see if I get it. Yay, I got It!!!! On the way shortly!!!!

Great insight!

You may have started something..... ;) :D

Only a little, as I usually carry just one knife most days. I know we have some members here who would end up leaning to one side and walking circles in their front yard if they walked out of the house without their daily knives. :D

I think I know who you're talking about! ;) :D

I've been missing Primble's presence here lately. I hope he's still footloose and fancy free in his fishin' boat covering all the angles. One of my favorite things he did was when he carried two Barlows every day for a week. Now I know my paltry collection can't match Primble's in quality, but I might be his match in sheer quantity. Therefore, I've decided to do two weeks of two Barlows, in homage to Primble. Hurry back soon, pal.

...

Hear, hear! Nice Barlows

Some nice British steel there Donn

Great-looking Ancient Dean

Striking pair today, Jack, a real "power couple"!!

Thanks GT, maybe I need to get padded shoulders for my pocket slips! :D Nice to see more of your carries this week my friend

Elegant lines and some great-looking ebony Ron

Relying on my memory is a dangerous thing:D

I know THAT feeling Paul! :D

Ebony and..er...ebony for me today ;)
