What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Spent some time giving this one an edge:D

An old and handsome Schrade Walden, Gev.

Carried one of my special old Catts today. I hope everyone is having a splendid summer. :)

So good to see you post, Rob!!! And with a handsome Catt. Love the jigging on that one.

an older William Rodgers Sleeveboard (photographed looking towards the centre of Sheffield from the railway station). Have a good day everyone and a good week

Really nice sleeveboard, Jack. By 'older', to what period are you referring?

I'm carrying a duet of TC. One is real, the other is genuine.

Jrawk, the beauty of that 77 will never fade. Truly gorgeous example!

Found some turtle hatching shells left behind on the jobsite this morning. Case Medium Stockman in my pocket all day.

Those are just so elegant. If only French makers would make them at a smaller scale so I could carry them in the UK.

Great picture

thank you. You cant carry even friction folders in UK? What is the size max?

Gary
... That sowbelly of yours is a stunner. I always wanted a vintage sow but so does everyone else;)
Thanks, Gev. I hope you can find a zesty vintage sowbelly real soon!

That was an older pic from last year as well GT. I had gotten a bale of straw to put down in my girlfriend's dog's kennel for winter. I did however grow up helping at my grandpa's dairy farm and worked my first real paying job on a vegetable farm from age 14 to 18. I miss driving tractors all of the time haha.

I'll get an updated pic of the Davisons at some point. I don't have as many as you'd think, I've had a few come and go recently. (Other knives and hobbies call!)
Thanks for the info, Jake. :) I'll tell you one thing I DON'T yearn for is baling hay (or straw) in the kind of hot, humid weather we've been having lately!

...
After the week of carrying the presidential I figured I would change it up a little.
uaQKzQd.jpg

I feel weird carrying two slip joints at once, ....
Yeah, two isn't very many, is it , Erik? ;) At least they're both wondrous knives!

...
I know the feeling GT, took me many hours to make this post, and not everyone's pics have loaded :( It's going to take some catching up when I eventually get online properly again, been a frustrating week :(
...
Nice choices there
...
On a visit to Kirkstall Abbey ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kirkstall_Abbey) yesterday

...
I hope you can get your internet service modified to your satisfaction, Jack; your frustration is understandable! :(
That's a vibrant pair of knives wherever you take them, sir!

...
Cheers Gary! I'm always amazed at the amount of cutlery you can fit on your person throughout a day!
...
He must have caught an awful lot of fish by now! Unless, he hasn't caught anything and is just very very persistent!
...
I have a couple myself today;

- Paul
Paul, it's not really that amazing if one simply takes to heart the old politician's promise of "A chicken in every pot, and a knife (or two) in every pocket." :p
Your "persistent Primble" comment was an LOL moment for me! :D
I like your unusual pairing today, with the pictorial piper knife.

This Queen was in my pocket all weekend. Put together perfectly and never complained no matter what asked it to do.

I carried the knife this weekend too.

:D:D Terrific pic, Macchina! Forget tortoise shell, I think I'd go for a knife with acrylic toad hide covers.

...
Thank you, my friend. Glad the Humpback got some pocket time this weekend, and that new Marbles Sowbelly you have is pretty OMG worthy as well :)

Just got back from a brief road trip for the annual Chili Fest in Medicine Hat, AB - 36 different chili entries this year... my poor wife :) , and time to switch it up a bit. Lookin' through the drawer to find my knife for the day, and landed on the Esky Zulu.

Thanks for the sowbelly compliment, Mike, and the Humpback was "stockman of the week" last week, as well as joining its brothers for the weekend Stockman Fest. Not as tasty as a Chili Fest, I'll bet! ;) That black Esky Zulu is very stylish!

Today, I'm carrying the first TC Barlow I bought (of several).

Ravishing bone on your initial TC, Dean; a regular riot of different colors! (TC = Totally Colorful)

Two great years in cutlery. :)

Carried one of my special old Catts today. I hope everyone is having a splendid summer. :)

Hey, prodigal Primble returns!! Outstanding to see you here again displaying your many talents (finding valuable vintage knives, Catt herding, refurbishing said knives, glamorous photography)! And it looks like you got your paycheck, too, so I guess dinner's on you, sir! :D

Daaang, Wilson!

...
Daaang, Rachel!! That's a noteworthy Harness Jack!!

Outdoor shots have to be done early in the AM or early PM. Too dang hot here lately. We'll be pushing towards 100 degrees today. It's been relentless for close to a month now with barely a drop of rain here in the northeast, but humid as hell.

At least you've got a VERY cool 77 Barlow to help you beat the heat, Bob!:cool: Always magnificent to see you posting!

...
I'm carrying a duet of TC. One is real, the other is genuine.

Tremendous Couple of Barlows, Dean! You have a lot of patina on that 14 already!

Happy Monday everyone. Starting week two of my vacation :)

Nice choices, Mike; I hope you have a jubilant second week that's even better than you hope it will be and that moves much slower than they usually do!!

Illustrious pair, JSCHENK! Rojo mojo strikes again!

Some of the knives I'm totin' this week:

Well, a great selection of knives everyone.

Thanks for the comments on the Eisenhower Dean and Gary and for the comment on the Grohmann's Gev.

Terrific Schrade Gev and I like that Washington r8shell!!

Primble is back! Very nice! You were missed!

To keep on my Grohmann theme I carried this one today as well as a Case Peanut.

Have a great evening all!

One sweet knife Bob, 100 degrees is too dang hot!

Queen Trapper in Zebrawood all weekend. A fantastic knife!

Helped with the grilling too:

Fantastic shots. But, I have to ask, is that really Zebra? Looks more like BEM to me but it could be the colour filtres.
Nevertheless, when Queen does a good knife it's one of the very best you can own.

Thanks, Will

Great pair, Jack. I particularly enjoy seeing that WR Sleeveboard.

Really nice sleeveboard, Jack. By 'older', to what period are you referring?

I'm carrying a duet of TC. One is real, the other is genuine.

Thanks gents :) Post WW2 I reckon Dean, 50's maybe  Love those Barlows, real and genuine for sure! :D

Happy holidays Mike. Good choice of knives

Thanks pal, great-looking knives, and I always enjoy seeing that wee bottle-opener

Took this 79 Workhorse out with me today as I hadn't used it in months.

Completely forgot what a tough nut it is to open:cool: The Wuss of Nail need not apply to be an owner:eek::D:D Great blade combo.fat Spear and Coping all on one spring.
