My custom made Gene Wiseman front pocket ultralite just came in.

My other edc's are gonna start to worry. . . ;-)

Congrats on the new knife. Nice color BTW.;)

I'm still stickin' with this Imperial for the June challenge.

Im carrying this neat Jack, its part of a group of knives my lady saw-she didnt know whether I wanted to throw them or not-there were some very cool old knives in there!!...This one could hardly open-and the pull would have ( once rust freed ) about 9 on a 10 scale.
It now opens with say a 5 -has a snap that will remove things :D, and I just think its a damn neat knife, horn handles, German-felix co.

Great knife!! To use your word -- AWESOME!

Thanks guys! It's been only half a day and I'm speechless with it's performance. It just DISSAPEARED in my pocket. The strength but simplicity of this thing has made me question the integrity of some of my lockbacks, and even linerlocks. I can see myself turning into a "slippie snob".
I'm going to have to get a larger back pocket version with liners for the bigger jobs. I was thinking red micarta, but i might just have to comission a big brother for this little tyke in the same orange G10.

Gorgeous knife Elliot, I love seeing all these new (at least to me) patterns from Rick. Can you tell me what a catch-bit is? Thanks.

Nathan,

In the last picture on the bottom end you'll see what is tantamount to a "spacer" of sorts which moves the secondary blade tang over toward the pile side...what this allows is two things...it allows a longer master blade to be fit in the frame so it doesn't strike the tang of the secondary in the closed position...and...it also allows the two blades to pass one another without rubbing. (The catch-bit is useful on single spring knives for this reason.)

Hope this explanation helps put it in some perspective.

It certainly does and thanks for the explanation. Now when my momma asks me what new thing I learned today I'll actually have something to tell her! ;):D

My pleasure.

Elliot, I still think that color micarta Rick uses is the best I've seen. I have a dogleg with that great butterscotch color. Has depth and generally just a cool color.

It is nice. My dogleg has a bit deeper color, closer to a brown in comparison...

Campbell, I agree with you on that! This Swayback Jack I'm carrying today,
