Beautiful 79s. It's a pattern that I have found elusive. I love the single spring with spear main and coping second, a cracking combination that I'd love to try someday. The whittler I have often worried might be too big (even though they do the three springs Buck style, it's still pretty hefty is it not?) but I still regard as a beautiful knife, but the Fremont I'm afraid does nothing for me, I just can't get into that bohncliffe blade :(

I hope you guys are having a good time in the pub, I could murder a good pint. I haven't been posting recently because I'm away from home at the minute - Jack'll explain Thom - but I should be on the island again at the weekend

I love me some Barlows, but scouts/campers hold a place for me too. I guess that's why I'm rarely without my SAK Pioneer. Today however, the postman brought me this little jewel. I don't think it's ever seen a stone.

As usual everyone has posted great knives!

Thanks for the comment Jack and nice pair of Barlows.

Interesting knife btmccutcheon. I like it.

Today I carried a TC Barlow and a Vic Popular.

Thankful Tim let this one go. Just opened the box and the tube a few minutes ago. :D

That 38 is amazing, Dean, and the red bone spearpoint TC is becoming your Trusty Companion!!

Thanks, GT!

I really like the Yellow Heart Wood TC's. :)

Wow! I Guess so. :D  A good Wooden x3 Wednesday choice!

Carrying a little Black Cherry with me today.

Very nice, Barrett.

Well shoot, must be a TC kinda day. :) I've got this little fella with me today.

It's TC mania! Another great looking one.

That's a good looking TC, Ken!

I guess I picked the wrong day to leave my TC at home!;)

Chestnut and Ebony for me today.

Thanks! It truly is a fantastic knife! The Whittler is a whole different beast. I loved that the knife had 3 full size awesome and different blades however it was a bit too much for me. It's surely a fist-full-of-blades and when one of them is open you still have to grab the other two! It is an awesome knife nonetheless.

I got both a Spruce Green #18 Beagle and a #25 in blue camel bone today and it was a hard choice but the #25 in blue camel bone won the spot today. They are both such nice knives.

Elegant piece, Ron!! I just keep going back

Osage!! Bravo

With those handy three in pocket I think you can accomplish almost any project that the day my bring. Very nice! :D:thumbup:

When I was young my grandfather convinced me that fresh carrots grew from my ears.... Later I found out they did in fact come from a well loved garden he tended to... Either way seen this reminds me of those days.

Great knife and pic Macchina!

Talon in pocket today.

Beautiful pictures and knife!!

Meeting up with Scruff today, so my bag is very well stocked, but I have these two in my pocket

You two have fun...oh well...I hope you had fun...lol. Great pocket full!!

Great looking wood on that 79!

I really like the Yellow Heart Wood TC's. :)

What a beautiful group...wow!!

Good looking knife, Ron!

Thanks Barrett :)

Very nice knife Ron. The 79 Frame is probably my favorite!
With the recent run of Fremont Jacks on this frame I started carrying my GEC Montana Workhorse as well... Conclusion: The excellent blade shapes on the GEC still beats the Fremont for a user knife!

Macchina - Thanks! I actually own at least one example of each of the three #79's. I agree with your statement above.

Paul - Thank you for the compliment.:) All three of the #79 patterns can be few and far between. I have managed to buy 2 Workhorse Whittlers and 2 Montana's all from the exchange. I also have a Fremont that I managed to find on the exchange. I really enjoy the #79 pattern. There is just something about that sleeveboard shape and that big spear that epitomizes the meaning of Traditional, IMO.:D

Elegant piece, Ron!! I just keep going back

Thanks Gev it is a favorite of mine. This one is also, and it has been missing from my pocket to long :D

This is a great picture and a great collection! I'm partial to the Ragg Bone myself but that Yellow Heart is very fine!
