What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Thanks Bob, I'm on the fence in regards to this one, I love everything about it but still not sure about the bolster alteration:confused:

We traditionalists tend to prefer things be kept original, but for some reason, I like it. It's unique. :)

Great knives and pictures again today everyone...

An altered Utica Barlow, someone polished down the "BARLOW" off the bolsters and stamped "US M-3 UTICA" in its place. Would have been better off I believe being left in original condition.

It has steel liners, solid and centered blades with not an ounce of play and wonderful Sawcut covers...carbon blades that were brought to "Razor Sharp" condition in a few minutes:thumbup:

That is a very good looking knife Paul !! I originally thought that the US M-3 might have indicated that it was a Military knife but an M3 is the big Fighting Knife.

Great Barlow Paul!!! I LOVE the bolsters as they are. Nice knife....almost as nice as how Wentz is playing...heh...heh...heh...

Peter

Paul, my friend, that is a beautiful Barlow!;)

Today I took my Smooth Ivory Bone 38 Lick Creek along for the day.:D

Thank you Ron, I love the smooth bone #38:thumbup:

Thanks Rachael, I agree, I like them original but there is something peculiar about it:o

Thanks Harry, your right about the M3 being a fixed fighting knife, maybe it's simply a tribute to it???

Yeah, I like the stamping. I feel like it's got a decent story behind it.

Thanks WK, I'd love to know the reason/story behind it.

Peter

Thanks also Peter, lol, yes he's looking to be everything he is billed to be. He just reminds me of Peyton in that cerebral kind of way but with the ability to run:D

Simply beautiful

Thanks, Jack. Nice pics of nice knives today! I don't recall seeing the Dutch Army Knife. I like to looks of it.!

Thanks Gary, it featured in one of my table threads a while back, but yesterday was the first time I've carried it :)

Makes dressing for the day a challenge, I reckon!

Nice change of pace, Jack! (But I might experience some withdrawal symptoms if I don't see either the Abbeydale stag or the feathered buffalo horn lambsfoot for a few days. ;))

Dark and rainy here at the top of Virginia. It still looks like dawn and it is already mid-morning.

I'm thinking about getting one of those novelty Barlows. I think I saw a Tarzan one? Life can be so serious, and I need something to remind me some things should just be fun!

Today's serious knives:

That is an a absolutely stunning photo of your lambsfoot, Jack! I'd have to be careful with that one as I'd be staring at it at inopportune times - like while driving.:thumbup:

Another rainy day here, but there are always other people's great traditional knives to admire!

I've got my GEC Washington Jack spearpoint with me.... cut up a nice breakfast with it today.
I love this knife... it sharpens unbelievably... incredible work knife.
