Have a great day everyone!

Great knives everyone!

Thanks for the comments on the Ruler Knife Alan, Gev, Jack and Gary. It's interesting as the blades are stamped J. CLARKE & SON Sheffield, the ruler is stamped Chesterman Sheffield England and a previous owner has scratched his name on the ruler with the date 1896.

Terrific pictures of Forum knives all and nice pair of knives Charlie! I'm hoping my Forum knife arrives today.

I went with some colour today. A Pioneer Settler and a Pioneer Pruner.

Chesterman (later Rabone & Chesterman) were a firm which made rulers, tape measures, and some other things too. Apparently they made a few of these knives themselves, or at least contracted for them directly, but mostly they supplied the scales to other cutlery firms. Often, like many of their steel rules, they carry advertising for other firms on the mark side.

Nice Pioneers Ken, you would never see those two colours together in Sheffield as they belong to the two rival football teams! :D

Mitch

Thank you kindly!!

Jack

Great carries today! Thank you for the compliment and the knife. I am enjoying it and Annie;);):D:thumbup:

It seems that way Jack. ;) I like the pic of Stan. The look on his face still shows pride in his work and a true love for the craft after so many years of duty.:D

Since fall and winter are my favorite seasons I am making sheaths for my more carried knives. Sheathed are schrade 163 and 136. The sheath on the left will hold up to a buck 110

Ken, the richness and depth of the goldenrod is wonderful. I can almost feel it. The color seems to be coming from within and not just reflective. Great capture.
