What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Dean, that's a cool pic of your beautiful Barlow :)

Thank you, Jack.

Love those TC's, great photo showcasing it!

Thank you!

U definitely XL with that old Wostenholm Barlow, Dean. And it's always enjoyable to see your Trusted Companion!

Thank you, Gary. That's a neat knife for this weekend!

I'm not sure how or when it happened, but this one has grabbed a place in my pocket and heart almost everyday.

Well I can see why Dean, those TC's have a way of doing that:thumbup:

Lovely Loom-Fixer Paul

Thank you Jack, Stan's knife is an ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL knife. What a lifelong treasure you have there. That pairing of it and your Abbeydale are terrific:cool:

That's a vibrant vintage knife, Paul!

Thanks Gary, I was happy to see you back to your normal posting:D I really appreciate, not only your effort to do so but your always complementary ways, that's the Gary type of post I enjoy, those short ones threw me off a bit:p

Your Half Hawk is a kin to the Loom Fixer:cool:

...
Thank you, Gary. That's a neat knife for this weekend!

GT, Thanks, it's been a good weekend! I have yet to try a RR, may have to check them out.

I really like your Half Hawk Gary. How big is that closed length?

Thanks for your interest, Dean and Mitch and Bob. :)
The Half Hawk is pretty big, 4" closed. (I think of it as the RR version of GEC's Hay'n Helper.) I originally got one in a trade with LastRodeo a couple of years ago. Although both I've owned had smooth tobacco bone covers, my first one was a much lighter shade.

I eventually gave it to a BF member (subsequently banned) who collected all the RR smooth tobacco bone models, and the half hawks were hard to find for a while, so I figured he wanted it more than I did! ;)

I ordered some knives on Labor Day, and noticed that Half Hawks were back in stock, so I picked up this darker one. I think I like its looks even more than the first one.

Great photo and I am admiring the necklace...tell us more?

A wondeful to you as well Gevo. A beauty of a carry today.
And a fine day to you my friend! Thank you as always. Give all your girls my best.

Wow Gev!! Feel like I'm looking into a bud that's yet to burst! A perfect arrangement of sunken blade goodness:)

Sam.

Very thought provoking, Sam! I thank you very much! I will listen to the music again I attached and visualize your thoughts :D

Gev always great composition with your pictures:thumbup:

This XX era Loom Fixer for me on a warm gray day in the Dakota's...

Another awesome piece, Paul...wow!! Thank you and I hope you noticed the strategic placement of the "penny from the window";):D Thank you my friend.

A gentleman's nightstand early 20th century. Gorgeous, Gev! :thumbup::thumbup:

I'm not sure how or when it happened, but this one has grabbed a place in my pocket and heart almost everyday.

Matters of the heart tend to sneak up on us! Its refined looks may have a little to do with it as well:thumbup: Thanks for your fine compliment!!

Beauty, Gev!

Thank you so much, Gary That RR is a beauty and looks like a great carry indeed....hummmm

Nice Ron. Sorry about the Vols loss yesterday. :o

Thanks buddy. That was just an old fashioned butt whooping is about all I can say!:(

Ron, the patina is looking great brother. I was wondering when you would start using it. ;)

Thanks Brett. I have been using it. The blade got some pepper spots on it during the trip to the rendezvous this year. The humidity there is rough. I decided to try my 1st Apple Cider patina just to clean up the natural patina which was looking rough to say the least. It turned out a little darker than I wanted, we will see what happens with some apples this fall.:D

Paul, that my friend is classic Case Red Bone at its finest!:thumbup:

Ron, it certainly is TC Sunday with that one in your pocket!

I'm not sure how or when it happened, but this one has grabbed a place in my pocket and heart almost everyday.

Dean - I know exactly how it happened my friend!:D

Looks like I've fallen back into my long-winded, time-consuming ways. :o

Speaking of liking equal-end patterns, that new Forum knife is a phenomenal example! Congrats, Mitch, Mike, and Ron (and everyone else who picked up the 2016 BF knife)!

Gary - As always thanks for the compliments.:) That Half Hawk is actually a copy of the Case Loom Fixer, and a beautiful knife in its own right! Very nice color on those smooth bone covers.

A terrific photo and knife!

Traumkommode and Dean...

This was my first custom I bought; Davison #1207, ATS34 steel, black and gold dyed box elder burl.

Thanks Mitch! I'm using the BF, but the Bose is riding around protected from the elements - so far!!

That Stan Shaw Sheepsfoot is striking, Jack!

Thanks GT :) Great-looking Half Hawk my friend, good to see you with one again  I think it's one of the best patterns I've had from RR. I've had several (all since given away), as well as one in 'Coal Miner' jigged black bone. Out of the two I prefer the smooth tobacco bone though

Thank you Jack, Stan's knife is an ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL knife. What a lifelong treasure you have there. That pairing of it and your Abbeydale are terrific:cool:

Thanks a lot Paul, you're very kind my friend

Very nice - that Bose is wicked!

+1  Good to see you post here Charlie ;)

I'm off to see Stan again today :) Carrying these two
