What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I was looking around after I picked up my first Imperial over the weekend. Got into a conversation with Phill and Ted about the possibility of instability of the celluloid, and how it can cause problems with other knives stored with them. Ted provided an interesting link talking about their chemistry and preservation. Here is the link Ted provided, a little long winded, but interesting.

Yes, I've read a bit about celluloid out-gassing, and that's why this knife will be stored on an open shelf, not in a box with other knives. I tend to avoid cell, but this was such a pretty example, and very inexpensive.

Some jobillo for wooden Wednesday.

When I got up at 6 to take Finlay for his morning walk, he didn't want to go today. He won't put weight onto his right hind leg and is clearly quite distressed about it and won't let me inspect it. I'm taking him to the vet this afternoon so until then he is being allowed to snooze on the sofa on his blanket....

Sending smoke up for Finlay. I hate seeing a pup distressed. I hope your pup is back up on his feet in no time!

GEC #72 for me today

Very nice pic and knife.

Thanks, Daniel. I don't buy many knives anymore, but I couldn't pass it up.
