Some really great pics and blades over the last few days, love 'em all. I'm just hangin' around home today, I had PT for my shoulder but it's been hurtin' pretty bad the last few days so I took a break from PT this week. Today I pulled out this old Camillus model 23 that I got from a member here to replace my original. When I expressed regret for sellin' it he contacted me to see if I was interested. Turned out to be from the same place mine was from, the Orr Felt and Blanket Company. :)

It's the one on the top left. :)

These 2 today. Stainless handled Lakota and Boys knife in stainless with Tortoise.

I'm glad that Teal turned out to be something you'll carry. I'm always drawn to the tortoise shell look. Nice looking Boy's knife.

I've had it since yesterday Gary and it's very practical. All of us here have more knives than we need. Those of us like me who no longer have much need for the blades we carry except for fun and nostalgia will find how useful a knife such as this can be. Instead of pulling out one of my GEC knives or Case or whatever this little guy is out and open in a flash, job done. I love my GEC's, especially the stag beauties. But, I usually keep them in a separate pocket to protect them. It's overkill to use a stag handled 83 lock back to open the protective cap on an aspirin bottle.
This won't stop me from buying and appreciating the finer things in life, but it does let you step back and appreciate the simpler things.

No pix as it's night here and the P.Bucket has been misbehaving a lot lately anyway....

But a migratory White Owl in Coco has just flown in from the Isles of Scotland... Thanks to Paul:cool:

If the Owl is hoping for better weather he's grossly mistaken:eek::D:D He will have other Owls to help him through it.

Regards, Will

Looking forward to your pics, Will. I just took a new one of my modified #73 jack in burnt arrowhead bone from 2009. I reground the spey main into a drop point, and the pen secondary into a coping, a great combination.

Some beauties today by everyone  Today I took a page out of Harry's book with a stag 73 and an Old Red Barlow. :D

Ron that is a beauty. Who did the recover?

I didn't know it was recovered! I bought it on the exchange. It is an early '08 Northfield. If you notice the nail nick blade and no swedge I figured it was a proto or something like that. If it is recovered it is well done. I love it regardless. Maybe someone here with more expertise in early GEC history will help out. :D

It may not be and I may be completely wrong. It was the lack of swedge in front of the nick that made me wonder. No matter it is a beauty.

Does the blade have an etch on it? Without a shield, the only original Northfield it could be is a Genuine Stag, and should be so etched on the blade.

Thank you GT, a stunning selection of Sodbusters
...
I thought I'd pocket this Arthur Wright Lambsfoot again today :)

...
Thanks, Jack; not sure how I ended up with so many Sodbuster Jr type knives! :o
Your stag senator is superb!

Well, it's Monday again! :grumpy: but I will be totin this stag 73 today :D

Thanks for "learning' me something" scrteened porch! ;)

Stag-a-licious.

Staggering stag pair, Alan! :eek::thumbup:

Coincidentally, I took my ebony Presidential out of mothballs today. Blue jean weather has returned and so the Pres is in the pocket once again.

Fantastic to see your Presidential again, Dean! But kind of bittersweet, since it's another sign of impending winter. :(

I'm afraid I've been out of the loop for a while, I hope everyone is doing well. The ever-reliable GEC 22 has been my faithful companion these past few months.

Old Engineer that is a great looking 77. I didn't realize they made a single clip blade with a nickel silver bolster... unless I'm seeing that wrong. Does it have brass liners?
