Great Imperial and Colonial Scout, GT!

Thank you Gary. I agree about the Hobo Nickels, yet they intrigue me. I rec'd one in change some twenty years back and have been interested ever since.
I like your Scout my friend:cool:

This great Pal Cutlery Scout, full blades with no play period, steel liners and gorgeous chip and crack free bone...THANK YOU MARK:thumbup:

Another wonderful Scout, Paul! Do you know the manufacturing time frame of this one?

Please forgive me if these images don't belong in this thread - I couldn't work out the best place for them. But I think they indisputably speak of a very long knife tradition. I spotted this item in a museum in the U.K. Incredible to think about who made and/or carried this knife. I'll fully understand if the mods place this somewhere else.

Thanks Mitch, the tang stamp reads Pal Blade Co (in a crescent/arch shape) dating it between 1939-1945. From 1945 forward it changed to "Pal Cutlery Co".

Sounds like a fantastic day! Cheers!

I carried my Kabar Dog's Head Coppersmith all weekend.

I have these two with me on this beautiful Sunday morning. I am just sitting around admiring the craftsmanship and beauty that each of these exhibit. ;) Blessings to all! :)

Outstanding pair Ron

That's a cool knife (and coin) Paul  I had also initially thought it was smaller :)

Hope everyone has a good Sunday

Awesome knife and picture Jack:thumbup:

That's so wonderful to know at least one of his knives is getting out in the fresh air. :D
Have a great Sunday.

THanks r8shell :)

Great-looking Lambsfoot Brett

Glad I can make someone smile every now and then. :D Rachel, I basically can't NOT carry that stockman; it's my custom pocket knife! I suppose technically every knife is unique in that it has its own existence, but that scrimshawed RR is truly one-of-a-kind. There are lots of white bone small RR stockmen, and I'd guess a few of them are scrimshawed, but I can't imagine there's another that has a fine feather on one side and Euler's Equation on the other. As one of my students remarked when I was showing off the knife to a class, "I'll bet there's not another knife like that in the entire universe!"

It is a very special knife GT, I always enjoy seeing it :)

Jack, your Stan Shaw lambsfoot is astounding in so many ways!:thumbup: I especially love the swayback shape and the splendid stag! Great photo, too!

Awesome knife and picture Jack:thumbup:

Thanks guys, the mural of Harry Brearley was painted in Sheffield to mark the centenary of his discovery of stainless steel

Decades apart in age, but these two seemed to go together somehow. Hope everyone has a good week

Nice knives today, folks!
Erik, I gotta get me one of those KA-BAR Dog's Head Coppersmith's! Nice!

Brisk morning here in Central NY. Along for the ride.

Gary, I love the Case/Bose Norfolk. Tough one to find. I wish Case or another manufacturer would do another run of those or, if from another manufacturer, make one the same size as the Case/Bose. I know GEC made some for Northwoods and Queen made some of the Winchester Black Box versions, but they are all just a hair over 3". A bit too small for my liking.
