Gev, do you know what kind of wood that is on your Pukko? Very interesting grain and coloring. Nice.

It's Birch and one of my favorites. The craftmenship is all Rinos ( generosity too ) and the blade was forged by the master Yrjo Puronvarsi

I hope your doing well and the sun is on your face, Bob:thumbup::thumbup: If all goes well and its cold enough I will make a fire tonight and takes some pictures

Thanks Gev. Definitely cold enough for fires up this way. Looking forward to pics of that beauty by the firelight.

Heading into work for an hour or so, this medium jack ought to do the trick.

Gary, I love the Case/Bose Norfolk. Tough one to find. I wish Case or another manufacturer would do another run of those or, if from another manufacturer, make one the same size as the Case/Bose. I know GEC made some for Northwoods and Queen made some of the Winchester Black Box versions, but they are all just a hair over 3". A bit too small for my liking.

The Norfolk is one of my favorites too. I like it so much I keep my eyes open in the usual places, including the Exchange, in hopes of snagging another. They pop up every once in awhile.

Gary, that little Vitale is a beaut! I still have the big 75 stockman from work today. The pile side is especially nice and toasty.

That's a good looking Colonial scout GT.
I gave my Kamp King scout to my brother during our north rim Grand Canyon trip.earlier this month so have my eyes set on another scout
Thank you Gary. I agree about the Hobo Nickels, yet they intrigue me. I rec'd one in change some twenty years back and have been interested ever since.
I like your Scout my friend:cool:
Great Imperial and Colonial Scout, GT!
...
Thanks, Steve & Paul & Mitch. :) That Colonial Forest-Master scout knife was my first knife, from about 1960. It's showing its age (blade play, bowed back spring) but I've been carrying/using it more and more lately. Must be some nostalgia thing; I used it so much when I was a kid, and it still feels very familiar to me.

This great Pal Cutlery Scout, full blades with no play period, steel liners and gorgeous chip and crack free bone...THANK YOU MARK:thumbup:

Gary - Thanks buddy, that's all I won this weekend!!! :(
Well, I'm a Purdue fan, and our football coaches have been telling us for about 20 years that we have to "manage our expectations".

...
It is a very special knife GT, I always enjoy seeing it :)
...
Thanks guys, the mural of Harry Brearley was painted in Sheffield to mark the centenary of his discovery of stainless steel
Thanks, Jack, for the compliment and the historical note!

Decades apart in age, but these two seemed to go together somehow. Hope everyone has a good week

Black & Orange for Halloween. Jack, you beat me to it.
