Nice trapper Harry, how is the the blade/handle ratio on the Gunstock? Enjoy the rest of the holiday season.

Thanks for the kind words my friend .
Blade / Handle relationship on the Gunstock : If I would have designed it , I would have made the Tang Length about 3/16 shorter and the the Overall Length of the Main Blade about 3/16 longer for Total Length of Usable Blade Length of about 3/8 " . I do not think that I would increase the secondary blade at all. It has plenty of room to increase it , but the way it is , is fine with me . I particularly like both of the Blade Shapes. I have 2 of the Case Gunstocks and a Tuna Valley Gunstock and I like both , but I actually prefer the Case for both F&F and the Gunstock Shape , but neither are as nice a shape as the Old Cattaraugus IMHO .

I was wondering if you knew of a video showing how all the different styles of can openers in action, Buzz ?

No. But I wish I did. I'd love to see if any of them can come close to the Victorinox opener. The Vic is the only one I've ever used that didn't tire my hand out, halfway around the can.

Thanks Harry. That's what it looked like in pictures. I've seen it in several different knives. It seems like a waste of space to make a knife larger or the blade smaller than it needs to be. I guess I'll have to get one in hand to see how it actually feels.

I actually tied my Vic style on a can of beans last night - worked darn good. I think a good video is in order but i don't have but a few styles

I hope everyone had a festive weekend.
Have a great time at the coast, Jack.

Beautiful creations, Mark. And Calvin isn't too shabby. :D Glad you've got your pictures sorted. :thumbup:I'm going to have to change to a new computer and router soon, and I dread all that installation stuff.

After all the socializing, I'm going to stay in and putter 'round the house today and eat leftovers. It's 73ºf and Echo and I are hanging out on the porch with an old Kabar Jack and a tiny pearl Rough Rider.

Pearl to match those smoke grey paws....:D:thumbup:

The actual FEEL of the Case Gunstock in my hands is pretty nice . I will be carrying and using this one just to see how it is as a User. I Do Not expect that it will take the place long term of my 77 Barlow or my 73 Stag , but we will see .

Carrying this surprisingly big knife today. I don't care for such a big carry, but for some reason I keep buying them? Must be a personality defect:rolleyes:

And a great picture too and a tidy knife as many RRs can be.

My Madam Tabby loves to push knives off tables..... and then play football with the smaller ones...picking them up in the mouth is definitely against the rules..but it happens:rolleyes::grumpy::D
