• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

OK been boasting & showing this off in a couple of other threads, hope you don't get bored... Simple and functional yet extremely well made, delighted with this Crown Lifter. Does it have faults, not that I can find. It will of course look a lot better when the rather pointy jigging has smoothed down after a week or two of carry, my first knife of 2017 and a very promising start. It wasn't expensive, I didn't have to pre-order, get on an angst trip about whether I'm going to get it or not or pay a massive mark up on the 2nd market. It's the same as any other GEC 15 just less sought after-thankfully for me.;)

I hope your next knife pleases you as much as this pleases me:cool:

Nice crownlifter, I hope the folks here don't crucify me for it, but I preffer their look to the beer scouts. What I actually wanted to ask, is that a half crown next to it?

I just can't seem to keep this one out of my pocket. Out of the 20 or so 303's I have this one really speaks to me.

I have a Camillus and a flat-ground Buck 303. I like them both, but I usually carry something just a little longer-handled. Today I'm making room for this ca 1916 Robeson.

I like it all the more because I got it for $5. Plus continuing elbow grease. Most of the black grunge is gone now and there are only a couple of tiny areas of light pitting.

It's a beaut! I so love all the old/vintage knives we see around here. I have to stop myself from wondering away from my beloved 303's or I'm afraid I'll disappear down a very deep rabbit hole!

Gorgeous and very functional knife indeed! Great bone color and jigging. I can't believe those are less sought after as it a looker in my eye. I seem to use my Ulster sheepfoot the most nowadays. Hope your staying warm! Hard freeze here last night and tonight, then maybe a little warmer.

rishma Iskra Gev Thank you all for your appreciation, I'm really bowled over by this one, not only practical but a looker too. The pulls are just right too and it's sharp.

Žan Nobody will crucify you for expressing a divergent opinion (just look at my signature :D ) but I totally agree with you. The BS version offers many scale choices but it has a bail which I frankly don't go for, limits real pocket carry in my view. Plus, I think this Crown Lifter looks better without a shield. The current run offers 2 versions, Ebony and this Jigged Bone of mine. There seems to be quite a few on sale still. Good eye you have Sir, you must be a numismatist? It is indeed a Half-Crown,( 2 shillings & sixpence or 12.5 p in the current money) from Britain and this one from George IV's reign, 1825. I used to be interested in coins, could get back into them if it weren't for knives ;)

Gev Fantastic Blonde on that Barlow, the shard gives us a glimpse of the real beauty of the sawn-bone, the sort of beauty that doesn't fade :)

Regards, Will

Primble, nice to see you here! Do you like that Muley as much as I like mine? BTW, I like mine a lot.
