Yowza, Wow and Golly! Three beauties. :thumbup:x3 The TC is particularly nice.

Just a Presidential today for me.

Žan Nobody will crucify you for expressing a divergent opinion (just look at my signature :D ) but I totally agree with you. The BS version offers many scale choices but it has a bail which I frankly don't go for, limits real pocket carry in my view. Plus, I think this Crown Lifter looks better without a shield. The current run offers 2 versions, Ebony and this Jigged Bone of mine. There seems to be quite a few on sale still. Good eye you have Sir, you must be a numismatist? It is indeed a Half-Crown,( 2 shillings & sixpence or 12.5 p in the current money) from Britain and this one from George IV's reign, 1825. I used to be interested in coins, could get back into them if it weren't for knives ;)

Just like you said, no bail and no shield, that's got a lot of charm imo. I tried collecting silver coins for a while, it then passed me when I got my peanut to carry and fondle. :D I still have a few lying around, mostly things that were in circulation locally, Austrian-Hungarian coronae and florins, lots of different German and Yugoslav coins with a few odds and sods, from Swiss to Canadian.

I think we already talked about it, but just to make sure again. The crown lifter is all steel, like a boy's knife, while the beer scouts have nickel silver bolsters, or is it vice versa?

Žan That's it, BS has brass liners and nickel bolster. Crown Lifter is all steel, including pins all of which are domed, no sink holes here :D and very tight gap free construction I might add. Sheepfoot is a very versatile blade, useful for construction, food prep, gardening, the lot. Then there's the crown lifter for beer, cider and soft-drinks, can't be bad! Off topic but I have a Franz-Josef Austro-Hungarian Gold coin from 1912, maybe that was in Slovenia once? Nice thought how coins travel.

Gev Fantastic Blonde on that Barlow, the shard gives us a glimpse of the real beauty of the sawn-bone, the sort of beauty that doesn't fade :)

Regards, Will

Fire and Ice
not by Robert Frost

Some say 15s are nice
Some pursue them with heartfelt fire
From what I've tasted of desire
And know of fate
And of course for sanity's sake
I'll let one, at this time, suffice
Trust the holy fire
And the magic of Ice

Mark - That is a beautiful knife buddy!

Beautiful pair ole friend !:thumbup::)

Thanks ole friend! ;)

OK been boasting & showing this off in a couple of other threads, hope you don't get bored... Simple and functional yet extremely well made, delighted with this Crown Lifter. Does it have faults, not that I can find. It will of course look a lot better when the rather pointy jigging has smoothed down after a week or two of carry, my first knife of 2017 and a very promising start. It wasn't expensive, I didn't have to pre-order, get on an angst trip about whether I'm going to get it or not or pay a massive mark up on the 2nd market. It's the same as any other GEC 15 just less sought after-thankfully for me.;)

I hope your next knife pleases you as much as this pleases me:cool:

Will - That is a splendid example my friend! For all the exact reasons you have mentioned I have been eyeing the Ebony version myself! Just something about barehead Ebony!
