Nice carry set up Frank. I am carrying a Trestle Pine Grand Portage today.

Thank you Erik!! I have the Superior and the Portage. I was really looking forward to the Grand Portage but somehow I didn't like the brass bolster with the stamp. If they would have made the bolster stainless with a brushed finish I would have bought three probably! :(

Thank you, I don't use a pocket slip because the pocket I carry my knife in doesn't usually have anything else in it. I don't worry about few scratches and dings, it just adds character.

The Trestle Pine Knives are definitely built to be used and wear really nicely. The bolster will get scratches of course but the wood is surprisingly tough

Welcome, Frank. it's good to see you posting your fine photos here on the porch.

Thank you!! I have been visiting BF for years but posting here regularly is one of my goals for 2017! :D

The denim micarta on the Northwoods Fremont Jack is one of my favorite handle materials!

I.N.F.K., That's a nice looking Barlow! I'm assuming it's Schrade from what I can see of the tang stamp. Anything else you can tell me about it?
It's a Schrade Grandad's Barlow, the blades are carbon, the bolsters are solid, with deralin handles. I picked it up at a antique store in originial packaging for 30 bucks so it was a good buy IMHO

Cool pic Shawn

Just superb

Beautiful Gary, it's nice to see the pile side, the stag is just as spectacular as the mark

Classic! :)

Superb! It looks even better open. :)

...

Thanks Dean, great to see your Ancient, one of my favourite knives :)

Great pic Gary

This thread just gets better and better :) Have a great weekend everyone

Another cami 303 gets called up.

I'm telling you, it's going to be this Winchester for the next few days at least. What a decent knife, very nice surprise :D:thumbup:

Thanks, Jack! You've got a nice pair for the pockets today. The sleeve-board is sweet.

Thanks for the info. Looks like you got a nice one.

I've been looking at the Black Box Winchesters Will. I don't know why I haven't snagged one yet. I think my resistance is fading.

A Case Saturday.

Nice pair of Cases's, Alan. The Teardrop is one of the nicest patterns out there, IMO.

In my pocket today, Joel Chamblin 3 3/8" Swayback Jack. Amber stag and CPM-154.

Thanks Gary. I still contend there's enough room for a slightly larger blade in the teardrop which would make it that much better. Magnificent Chamblin there.

I've been carrying this gec 15 for a couple years now. It's been through the paces. All the "pretty" has been knocked off it.

avvilust3, I have to disagree, I think the #15 has way more pretty now then when new:cool:;)

Thanks, Dean! Gotta Catch 'Em All. :)

It may be the easiest thing you do this weekend. Great choice!

Thanks, Dee!

Still taking this along every day ;)

I've always admired that type of Congress; the bone just amplifies the beauty! You always take such great photos, Gary.:thumbup:

+1 I thought exactly the same thing when I saw it.

I'm carrying an older Barlow with the Ancient today (trying to keep it humble).
