I got this sweet Case Bose with me today!

Thanks Nathan! I was tickled when I opened the box today. I came home early and had to search the neighborhood for the UPS truck. I found him. I tell you he looked disappointed that I caught him! LOL!

Hi, it’s me again. Well I’m hooked now, thanks to you guys.

Here is a small knife I pick up at a little swap met in Mexico City, It cost me a dollar . Anyone know what it is? What do you think the handle is made out of? Any tips on how to restore it ? Thanks again for schooling me.

It's a Robeson, and don't restore it, it's perfect as is.

I’m not looking at polishing the blades or anything like that, just cleaning out the inside of the handles and getting rid of all of the crud in the hinges.

Josh, the Bump is magnificent! No keys in the same pocket, pleeeze!

Thanks Jeff, I agree. Don't worry, on the way to the office, it rides in a pocket slip to protect it from keys, etc. Once at the office, it comes out of the slip and goes into the pocket.

I carried this Lanny's Clip I got in today from
Keith Johnson, It's a very nice knife! Very well made.
If you haven't got a knife from Keith, Or not on his
list? Might want to jump on it!..... just sayin! ;)

I had my Buck 302 yellow in my pocket for chores today. I learned my lesson yesterday with the Cold Steel knife.

I'm of the school of thought that any knife is a user once its touched a stone for the first time...first is wash it out with a warm soapy water using a fine plastic bristle tooth brush (be careful around the pearl) and then dry it out good, oil the joints with mineral oil, that alone wont do squat and you need to work it in by opening and closing it.

This one I found on ebay was similar, it had blade damage to the edge that I needed to reshape, and the blades were really hard to open and close with no snap or spring function at all...after working oil in the joints and opening and closing it a good lot full function can come back as the gunk breaks down in the oil and seeps out. You will see this as the clear mineral oil going in the joints comes out black.

Before and after shot above...

I like that Lanny's Clip Jason. Glad to hear that it is as good in person as in the pictures.

I'm back to this beauty today.

(It's tough to get that scale color to show up properly in many of the images but it is a nice deep maroon.)

I seem to be on a Queen/S&M kick lately, went back to my long time EDC, Queen #06L amber stag bone teardrop linerlock.
