What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Sometimes you get a very decent knife with a very good price/quality ratio. This, in my opinion, is one of those. The lock-up is very solid, no play in any direction. The blade took a very sharp edge. This is stainless, so I have no idea of the steel. This slips in to the comb pocket of my suit jackets, it does not bother me at all especially if I carry my cellphone in the breast pocket on the same side. The action was a bit gritty first but dropping some oil in the mechanism and opening and closing it several times cured it. Now the action is firm but smooth.

Stellar pair today!!

Thank you Gev :)

Thanks Jack, great looking stag on that Shaw. I have had the Crowder for about 4 years.

Thanks Kris, superb choices, as always :) I live for the day you post a pic of a grimey old Sodbuster! ;) :D

Back to my Wall Street today. Along with my decision making coin;)

LOL! :D

I finished up my belt today with the help of the Drover again.

Nice work, and that's a great pic

Thanks, Jack!
Terrific lineup.

Thank you my friend :)

I'm carrying these two today :)

…Needham Lambsfoot and my Abbeydale Jack for me today

Awesome, Jack!

This one seems to come with me quite a lot.

Beautiful threaded bolsters, John!

Trying out the new natural canvas micarta combo today. Mudbug and a 77.

Hhav380h.jpg
Compelling canvas combo, Buzz!

Dynamite, VH! That stag 2-blade toothpick is especially delectable!

Got my old Case 3318 Stockman in my pocket today. It started the day breaking down a milk jug, two gallon size plastic juice jugs and three cardboard boxes for the recycle bin. Then it got a bath blow dried with some compressed air in a can. Next up a little touch up on an Arkansas Stone and a little mineral oil on the blade. Yes my knives get pampered but after all they have been very good and deserve it. :D
…
Excellent! Randy, you treat knives and people right, whether they deserve it or not!

…Taking a cue from Wilsonhome's vine fileworked Dunlap I put this one from Don Morrow in my pocket today. Sometimes you guys help me decide what's in my pocket!

Fantasy filework, Gary!

…I’m just goofing off with camera filters on my phone today. Don't post much here anymore since I pretty much carry the same thing every day now.

Grand goofing off, Shawn! I, for one, don’t mind folks posting the same knife almost every day. In fact, I admire (and envy) the commitment.

Patiently waiting for Ryuichi to finish my order, with the stockman in my pocket....

Holy Moley! Jake, that st-st-stag has me st-st-stuttering!

Great Knives!!!

Finally got in the green jigged #74...it's a pickle!

Untitled by swaybacksteve, on Flickr
Irresistable condiment, Steve! Congrats on the new 74.

Jaw-dropping pair, Dee!

Carried these 2 today while I was cleaning up the other 2 knives that I have since prior to 1958…
The 2 old knives that I bought new back then . I did not know how to treat a knife right then .…
Imperial Fish Knife and a real cheap fixed blade . Fish knife is still solid but the fixed blade's blade is pretty floppy. Fixed blade handles are fake bone ??? They both took a good edge on the diamond stones.

Harry
Kudos that those knives are still kickin’, Harry! Thanks for showing us a glimpse of the past. I know nothing about fixed blades, but I sure like the old Imperial fish knives!

Sorry double post! Here's an old one:

Looks like a long, lean, laudable knife, HWF! Stag 73?

…Anniversary TC and my Stan Shaw Sheepsfoot for me today

Magnifico, magnifique, magnificent!!

Notable knife, Pt-Luso!!

83 Tortoise Shell

Outstanding, Alan!

Peerless pair of aces, Dee! (Hope you’re dealing from a double deck!)

Quality whittler, Ron!

Remarkable knife indeed, HFinn; couldn’t agree with you more! (I have a carbon steel Black Cat that is one of my favorites.)

These today

A lot of great knives guys. I have a weakness for the metal handled ones Jack and HFinn. Double stag (surprise, lol) for me today.

Thanks, GT! If anyone deserves envy and recognition for their commitment, it should definitely be of you and your tremendous carry schedule!

Beautifully matched stag today, Alan!

Thanks for the kind words GT .

Carried these today to the YMCA . Some of my friends wanted to see the big old Kronenkrebs . Old Russell Barlow and the 100th Anniversary issued from 1975 of the Russell

The Drover sure did a cool job! You made the belt out of a road racing tire ?. What a great idea! Love the photo too:thumbup::thumbup:

Great! A belt made from a 700x28 tire🤙🤙

Nice work, and that's a great pic

Thanks, guys! The last belt I made was a racing tire and it wore out after about two years of daily use. This one is a much thicker touring style tire so I hope it will last a bit longer. The punch on the Drover went through that tire like butter. I made extra sure that my fingers were out of the way, the point on that punch kind of scares me.
Edit to add.. Jack, there is something really awesome about that Eyewitness....very classy in it simplicity.

Hfinn, I must thank you. I have been on the fence about getting one of those and I think your post just pushed me over the edge. Any knife model that has been made for that long has to be worth giving a try.

Thanks Alan, me too :) That's a great pairing in stag though :)

Thanks pal, I really like the simple beauty of these all metal knives, and they are very pocketable :)

Thanks Gary, Shawn, Alan and Jack for the kind comments. Gee, a few sentences and I could have an Oscar acceptance speech. Honestly, it's one of the things I like about BF.
