Sorry about that, man! :o

...
I haven't posted in a few weeks. I came down with an illness that seemed to be pretty serious. However, my latest blood work indicates everything has come back to normal.
Big relief!
...
I carried these two today.

Have a great day all!
Welcome back, Ken! :) I hope you're right about being back to normal.
Great pair for your first post in a while.

LOL! Thanks GT, I haven't heard that song in years, my grandmother used to sing it! :D :) You may be interested to know that the object behind my Abbeydale is a crucible steel 'bonnet' ;)

Yes, I could have done with MacGyver to help me out! :D

Nice matching pair my friend
...
Thanks for the praise for those matching Remingtons, Jack. :) I don't know how I know that old song.

Thoroughly Classy Barlow, Dee!

Ah, but all the tones of gray are in the steel. ;) I added more to the patina on the Boker's pen blade today. It bit my thumb pretty deep.
Seems like ungrateful behavior from a well-tended knife!

...
Harry - here's the spine........together with two others made personally by Russell when he was at TEW (they were made and sold direct to a friend, from whom I later purchased them)

Ron, that Willamette whittler is a winner!

Been away from the porch way too long! Great to pull up a chair and settle back in. As always, a bunch of spectacular knives showing up here.

For Wooden Wednesday, a bit of cherry wood.

Welcome back, Ken! Looks like you've still got it! Wonderful knife, and I love the thematic backgrounds of your shots!

Old Case Red Bone from a dear friend. :D

Ravishing!! Congrats, Bob! :thumbup::cool:

Thanks, Gary! The Fenix is great and just what I was looking for. I like that yellow stockman.

Thought I'd posted this yesterday but operator error must have intervened. This was yesterday's carry. We always had gift lists for Xmas and birthdays when the girls were young. It kept them happy but was always predictable. Now they are grown, so a few years ago I said "No more lists. Surprise me." This is one of those surprises from my 22yo daughter. She combed her local antique stores, chatting up the owners along the way. While it will never make a magazine cover it did clean up nice, with a lot of the W&T back. There's a hidden history here I'll never know. Never fails to bring a smile to my face.
