What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Thought I'd posted this yesterday but operator error must have intervened. This was yesterday's carry. We always had gift lists for Xmas and birthdays when the girls were young. It kept them happy but was always predictable. Now they are grown, so a few years ago I said "No more lists. Surprise me." This is one of those surprises from my 22yo daughter. She combed her local antique stores, chatting up the owners along the way. While it will never make a magazine cover it did clean up nice, with a lot of the W&T back. There's a hidden history here I'll never know. Never fails to bring a smile to my face.

Congrats...she did very well indeed! Our friend Harry has had one since 1963 and still has it. Wonderful knife...I love Ulster :D

I have enhanced the bone of the lovely. Hours of a deep tea dive :D:)

Dashingly classy kit :thumbup::cool:

Gary

Thanks so much for your compliment ! The green girl scout is my fav and great carbone mod

Very nice gents

I'm slipping out the door with the BSA knife I won recently in Abbydaddy's generous giveaway :) Have a good day everyone

You all are breaking me down with these lovely scouts ;)

Erik

Thanks for the sunshine on my shoulder with that rose ;);)

Carrying these 2 today. Found the imperial in my junk knife box and decided to clean it up a bit and carry it. The main clip has decent walk and talk but the small pen won't snap shut. Really hard to get out of this shot with those huge mirror polished bolsters on the 98.

Thanks Alan. Is that the cougar claw in the middle? You said it was lighter than others you'd seen online. If that's it, I like it a lot. It almost looks like stag/American elk.

You sure know how to make a splash...wow :thumbup::D:D Welcome :D

Thanks! I have to admit that I've been lurking around the porch for awhile. . . 15 or so traditionals later and I figured it was time to join the community that's responsible for my knife-buying illness :D

You did a great job! Looking good.

Here is what I had to pick from this morning. Went with the Cougar Claw since I want to compare the clip to the drop on the others.

Alan I am really starting to like that bone jigging on the middle #74. When I first seen it I wasn't so keen on it, but the more I see, the more I like it. :)

1963- that one's got some legs!

Hey Alan. Yes that is the cougar claw. I purchased it like Sunday evening. So, it is not among the early releases. I like it too now that I have it in hand. If you look at TheFactor pics of his Cougar, it is uniformly dark. But, that's what makes things interesting, I guess?

Thanks! It's growing on me too. I like having the Clip on a different jigging pattern that the DLT SFO's too.

Light duty needs today, some mail to open and some thin cardboard to cut up for the fireplace so I grabbed the 80-100 year old Graef and Schmidt Jack Knife in that beautifully natural patina that only time and use can put on an old knife.

Great knives everyone!

Thanks for the well wishes and comments Erik and Gary.

Very nice carry Paul and terrific Ulster Bugdoc.

Today I carried a Northwoods Barlow and a Vic Electrician.
