Yowza, Dee!!!:thumbup: Was that hard to find? I'd heard rumors of a Ruple sowbelly last year (I think), but I don't recall actually seeing one, even in photos.
Jack's mention of Old Friends Friday kind of fits with my knives for this week I haven't posted yet, since a couple of them are knives I carry every day and consider "old friends" (although they're definitely NOT seldom carried, which I think was Jack's original intent/defition of knives appropriate for the "Old Friends Friday" thread).
Small Rough Rider Stockman (thanks, r8shell):

Case chestnut jigged bone CV Sodbuster Jr (thanks for the SBJ, Bob, and thanks for the "signage", Dave):

And this LF&C penknife is one of my oldest knives (may be THE oldest knife I own - I should try to settle that question):

Nice knife. It sounds like the wife's a keeper too.[emoji2]Fightin rooster again today. That's 4 days in a row now. Maybe a record for me! But it won't be with me tomorrow.
Sitting in my recliner enjoying a quiet house while my wife took my girl and stepson to find me a birthday present. Full as a tick on biscuits and sausage white gravy with hash browns that's she made me for breakfast. Just waiting on hamburgers she's buying me for lunch. I think I'll keep her awhile. Hehe

Have a great day all!
Ken K.
Rachel, your black/white combo and the story of the "Böker bite" remind me of that old joke, "What's black and white and red all over?" (Original joke has "read" instead of "red", I guess.)
Jeff, you are King of the Big Stockman! That sawcut bone RR is cool!I went with some bling today, a large (Case #75 size) stockman from Rough Rider in brown sawcut bone with worked bolsters.

Another inspired photo, Ken, and I really admire your amber bone Case canoe! I have that model on my "wish list" at at least 4 dealers, I think, but just haven't closed the deal yet.
Thanks for the follow-up, Alan. In your photo, the handle finish just looks more "refined" than on my MAMs. I have a sheepsfoot in the friction folder set-up, and a larger drop point with liner lock, and I'm pleased with both. It certainly does have a problem in its competition with Opinel, but in my "collection scheme" it has a major advantage in being from a different country than Opinel. :thumbup:Gary, that Mam is stock. It's got a bit of up and down blade play so I may try the model without the liner lock. It makes a good kitchen knife and rides in the pocket nicely. It's major problem is that it competes with Opinel.
Congrats on your new Tinker, H&S!In December I had convinced my dad to buy a Victorinox tinker as a good work knife, and he loved it so much that he bought his brother one for Christmas, and I guess he must have really really loved it because he ended up buying one for me 😁 I received it just now and immediately put my suspension clip on it and put it into my pocket.
Now I think I may have inadvertently started a knife tradition for the Snyder men ( my grandpa probably started the Victorinox tradition with his love of the classic though )
I really love my Victorinox recruit for its size and everything, but the tinker is only a bit bigger and adds the phillips driver and awl so I'll probably love it just as much.
Memorable knife, Todd!:thumbup: (And being artistically challenged, I enjoy seeing it in an unfiltered photo. The Barlow of Barlows! IMHO [emoji6]GEC Soupbone TC Barlow. Henstooth!![]()
