Admirable knives, Jack. Both have attractive handles, but the grain on that first knife is especially arresting!

Jack I like the kettle tang-stamp and the whole knife looks well rounded

Thanks guys, it's the only Haywood I have, but very nicely made I think :) Nice line-up today GT

Blue camel bone Whittler today!

Is that a Whittler or a Wharncliffe (looks like there are only two blades)? Certainly a nice knife

Good call! and thanks! I guess this was A Northwoods interpretation of a Whittler. It is their Willamette Whittler. The Wharncliffe is a great blade on this one. Also the overall size is really great.
I guess this would be a GEC 38 Whittler pattern? Really like it!

Carrying two more old Sheffield knives today, by Joseph Haywood and Wheatley Brothers

Wonderful pair! I could not choose between those two lovelies:D

Gary
Thank you for your kind words! Your recap helped me to see a few knives I would have missed. The huntsman pic reminds me of an old friends old rustic ranch house

You're very welcome, traditional patterns can be very confusing, and manufacturers sometimes get them wrong. If it does have two blades, it is actually a 'Wharncliffe Knife' PATTERN. With three blades, it would be a 'Wharncliffe Whittler'

Thanks Jack, hope all is well.

Not bad thanks Alan :)

Thanks a lot Gev, fortunately I am blessed with more than one pocket ;) :D

The ol' Boker 494 is helping me prep for a hunting trip. Been in my pocket every day for the past ear and a half or more. A constant companion.

Great knives everyone!

I, please forgive me, haven't carried a knife in the past couple of days.

Major snowstorm up here that I had to deal with.

Here's a picture of the only family member who enjoys snow.

Have a good one!

Great looking old Boker J. Did you add the EO notch?

The jigging and shield are top notch Paul.

Thanks Alan, these #38's are addicting and amazing at the same time:thumbup:

Still loving my new peanut.

Those old Imperials are amazing ole work knives with such scary sharp steel:thumbup:

Beautiful knife Ron, sending you a text my friend:)

Lately I've been carrying the 2016 BF knife. But tonight I put this Case Peanut in my pocket:

That is a stunning Peanut! And very well photographed.:thumbup:

Thanks for the enabling encouragement, Dean. :p
They're thicker than my other 66's (CRS) with the one on the right being the thickest.

Great team for Monday.

And thank you, Dee!

Thanks Dean, those two go well together

Thank you, Jack!

That's an eye-catching pair, Dean! Haven't seen one of your exquisite Presidentials for quite a while. Is the Case a pen knife?

Thank you, Gary! I'm down to one Presidential now (the best one in my opinion); the Case is a pen knife and a favorite one at that.

I see you also have been a ring-opener beneficiary from Jack. :) They are such special knives and from a special person.
