Gary, I was trying to recall the words to that song but I guess I'm past the age of remembrance. As far as the humpback stockman, it's one of the knives I can't see myself ever giving up. The F&F and the W&T are amazing, sunken joints, and great blade selection make it a true winner.
Alan, I have a Case humpback stockman, too, and I agree with your assessment! I'm a fan of spearpoint blades, so a stockman with a spear main really gets my attention.
Friedrich Hartkopf. Did a fool thing to sell this, but I managed to trade it back!
Congrats on getting that fabulous Hartkopf back, A.L.; you must feel happy and lucky!

The Tackler is one such knife I only learned about recently. There's some interesting information on this lesser known Sheffield pattern in this thread for any of you straight edge enthusiasts.

Terrific Tackler, Chin! That photo really shows off the grain in the handle.
LOL!

Sorry GT

Not
your gibberish my friend, just gibberish in general!

You should hear me ranting about the Sheffield manufacturers inability to correctly name their patterns (the 'Senator' which is a Lambsfoot rather than a Penknife, or the short-bolstered 'Barlow' for example)!

Pattern designations can sometimes be debatable, but
the classic old patterns deserve to be properly described here, otherwise newer members will be misled. The Wharncliffe Knife should be one of the most recognisable of traditional knife patterns

Carrying my Arthur Wright Lambsfoot with ebony covers today

Have a great Friday, and an even better weekend everyone, and please excuse my bitter rantings!

Good point, Jack; almost everything I know about pocket knives I learned here on The Porch, and that probably includes some misinformation.

I don't find your rants to be bitter (although "twisted" is another story

). Your ebony lambsfoot is classic!
...
Frequently carried and so again today:
a flashlight to see,
a magnifier to see better
and a knife to cut.
Speaking of ebony classics, your black wood spear TC is definitely a Timeless Classic! I usually claim that the only TC Barlow in which I'm interested is a clip/pen antique amber sawcut, but your ebony spear TC inspires second thoughts on my part.
That Ganzo was my gateway to traditional folders. I picked it up last year on a lark, more or less, but it fired my interest to learn more in a way my 20-year-old Swiss Army Climber never did. Got my first GEC yesterday, a maroon Beer Scout, with more on the way. But the Ganzo still has a leg up because it has so often proved such a useful tool.
Congrats on your new Beer Scout, Taike!

I have the Ganzo stockman whose photo you posted, and a Buck 303 and 373; they seem to be almost identical knives.
These 2
Great photo!

I'd like to see more pics that feature secondary blades.

I rescued this Challenge Cutlery sleeveboard from a junk box at an antique shop!
Wow, beautiful rescue, Ernie.
Nice knives and pics, everyone!
I've posted this one in a few threads. I have to put it here too, since it is in my pocket today.
Superb Lloyd shadow stag, Gary!!
Repaired the peanut last night, back in the pocket today.
Looks good as new to me, rishma!

I saw in another thread that you're suddenly going through some tough times; hope you get everything moving the right direction again ASAP.

After carrying my Yellow Rose #74 for more than a week and switched it up to a neglected knife in my collection. Crosscut mammoth Northwoods Willamette Whittler.
Holy Hand Grenade, Erik!!

That's drop-dead gorgeous!
...
it was a Northwoods Fremont and a Vic Apprentice today.
Just a little snow on the back deck.
Have a great day!
Ken K.
Tremendous twosome, Ken! Your deck photo is such a contrast to my backyard, which is unbelievably snow-free for mid-February with temps far above normal (50+ F) for the next week.
Splendid knife and photo, Jeff!
I'm off out for another hike early-doors tomorrow. Taking these two out for the day

Have a great weekend everyone
Exceptional knives, Jack!

Hope you enjoyed your hike. (Would my intentions have been misinterpreted had I written, "Take a hike, Jack!" or "Hit the road, Jack!"??

)
Sometimes I just can't decide. That's when I carry both.

...
That's the spirit, Todd!!
Yowza!! That is a vivacious vintage I*XL Barlow, Dee!
Touché my friend.
Ice + Lemonade = Tasty Beverage . It also makes a Tasteful Carry

.
...
Thanks, Dee.
As always, these were with me this week (and every week).
Thanks for the GAW, Bob:
Thanks for the knife, r8shell (and for the coin, Greg):
