What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Way to go out on a hike Jack! Have a great weekend.

Thanks Alan, you too my friend

... except I seem to have misplaced my (main) Jeep key, which is all the more aggravating because that's the point of the bowl! :grumpy: I hope to find it over the week end, not least because of the blue Classic attached thereon....

Hope you find your key P

I'm moping around the house today after having a couple of stubborn wisdom teeth ripped from my head. Gives me time to play with my fixed blades, though! Including my new-to-me Fiddleback Forge Minimuk! (Thanks Panthera tigris!)

Edit - 1000th post! Woo!

Congratulations on the milestone Shawn, and I hope your mouth is healing  Nice line-up

Good point, Jack; almost everything I know about pocket knives I learned here on The Porch, and that probably includes some misinformation. I don't find your rants to be bitter (although "twisted" is another story :D). Your ebony lambsfoot is classic!

Thanks pal! :D

Exceptional knives, Jack! Hope you enjoyed your hike. (Would my intentions have been misinterpreted had I written, "Take a hike, Jack!" or "Hit the road, Jack!"??:D;))

...

As always, these were with me this week (and every week).
Thanks for the GAW, Bob:

Thanks a lot GT, I did :) No, that'd have been OK! :D

I always enjoy seeing your stalwarts :)

My better half is off to the mall and I'm sitting down to tune up the edge on my Lloyd trapper. Life is good!
Going to be 50 degrees today. I'm off to the trails as soon as possible.

Great-looking ebony TC's gents

Very nice indeed Tim

Stagurday breakfast with Northwoods Bullet Jack

Everything looks delicious!

I had a nice hike yesterday, but think I'm going to be in the house all day today, trying to catch up. Got my Davison in my pocket though. Have a great Sunday everyone :)

Wow, you have full pockets Jer! They're nice :) It took a while for your pic to load, and having read the caption, I was thinking 'Oh no, he's not pocketed that hulking great Schrade-Wostenholm Stockman has he?!' Probably weighs as much as the rest put together! :D

Fintage Friday? :D

I've had my own IXL along again recently, bringing me back to All The Things In the Bowl:

Yes! A friend found it while helping with Jeep Spa Day yesterday:

I'd looked in and through the Jeep myself, but still managed to miss it; an LED lamp spanning the Jeep's interior width proved the trick in spotting the key and the accoutrements of which I am fond, just before it went into the Shop-Vac! Ah, sweet relief.

Today was the contents of the Bowl, with the substitution of the larger Bear Cub for the Esquire:

I love this knife, and regret that I can't carry it more often. It tucks into some of my pocketes...

... but the smaller Esquire and even Patch are much more reasonable for most of the settings in which I find myself day-to-day.

Here's to balmy week ends! :)

Great pics P, and I'm glad you have your key-chain, a fresh pair of eyes can make a lot of difference

Back from vacation in Hawaii, and it's good to have my choice of knives again. The Electrician served me well out of town, but I now have my olive Cadet and this mid '90s NYKC branded Schrade 8 pattern stockman in nice burnt stag.

Took a little walk in the hills with my father-in-law today after Sunday supper. The Boker Tang Stamp series stockman was riding faithfully in my pocket the whole time

I like that double shield!

What a handsome hiking buddy.

Balmy, indeed! It's almost 80º here, and nice and humid. No hiking, but I rode my bicycle to the store this morning and took the scenic route. I'm going with the pocketable fixed blade on weekends. Back from the store, it did a nice job dicing up peppers for tonight's chili.

Great knives all!

Very nice Bullet Jack thefrank and terrific Davidson Jack.

These two today. A Rossignol Laguiole and a Case Whittler.

Have a good one!

Been reading this to my son, he just turned 7; it's a 1903 first edition (third printing however). The knife is a LT Wright Next Gen. It's all about the next gen, isn't it?
