What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Today I'm carrying my stag GEC muskrat and a new one- a Case swayback jack in red stag. The swayback jack is drop-dead gorgeous- and flawlessly executed. If Case keeps making more knives like this one, I'll be a happy camper indeed. Pink froo-froo and silly dead celebrity knives aside, they can still make one heck of a traditional when they set their minds to it.

I found this one in a pawn shop the other day. Cleaned it up and paired it with my eyebrand copperhead. This one rides real nice in the back pocket with my wallet.

I had my vic classic today (don't want to upset the campus police), but my two most common edc's are the case sodbuster jr and medium stockman, both yeller cv, both gifts from my dad.

Took some new pics:

I think they're starting to build some charachter. :)

cheers,

I've been carrying something old and something new as of late. The old is my original Buck #102 Woodsman I purchased new in the 1970's. Although I have a slew of custom fixed blade sheath knives and use most of them, I really enjoyed using this old gal again. Not much to gaze at but she served me well on my hunting trips last month several times running.

In the latter part of November right before the Thanksgiving holidays I was able to bag a decent size Wild Hog and the elusive Osceola. The tom turkey was no record but he smoked up perfectly for a great meal for the holiday feast.. Here is a picture of a decent gaggle of birds just prior to the tom's demise.

My back up is one of the sweetest little slipjoints that has come down the pike for me in quite a spell. Its this wonderful new GEC Barlow in Red-Black Buffalo Horn and 1095 that a good friend here gifted me. I just cant put it down..

Anthony, I have to disagree with you on that. An old well used working mans knife is some of the best eye candy I can imagine, and yours in certainly no exception.

Thanks for not hiding this one from us :D

Take care and keep posting pictures of your knives...

Lately, I've been using one of these a LOT, and have it with me again today.

In my line of work, your pocket knife can really take a beating, so I often choose this one. Even though it's not very "polished" in terms of fit & finish, it's a real sturdy workhorse. Super-strong spring, steel liners and bolsters, nice carbon steel blade... and if it falls overboard I won't cry. ;)

First day for carrying my new Rick Menefee slipjoint, plenty of pics here :
