What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

The original knife purses in the past were for girls, not real men.

Tony,I feel very insulted by this comment.

My great, great grandfather,Vincenzo Caruso, from Nola Italy, carried his prized & cherished engraved bullhorn Pattada in a goat skinn "girly -knife pouch"

Please don't apologize, simply build me a warncliffe trapper,3.5",with stainless blades, and I will overlook this comment of deep insult.
This act will then make it right.
Then & only then,I will drive over my pouches with my Ford van.(Yes we're a 2 Ford family here)

Please call me on my cell if you wish to discuss this
In the mean time,I have my horns tucked in

Thank You Peter,

Its quite kind of you to comment on my old Buck. :D I of coarse feel the same way about any tried and true, stand the test of time, working for a living hard use Old Knives..

When I posted it here I figured it probably wouldn't get a second look next to some of the other knockouts you see.. So thanks for sharing your thoughts. :)

Your Schrade 125OT here is another such older classic that fits into the aforementioned category. Your Schrade is a slipjoint that literally barks out the words, 'I am here to work.' Another true hard chore user with steel that I kinda liken to the vintage Timex advertisements so to speak,, 'takes a licking and keeps on ticking'.. ;)

OK, I know, enough with the silly cliches, Tony.. ;)

But in all serious, the older hi-carbon steel Schrades are some of the finest users ever made to be sure, IMO. Thanks for sharing it here, Peter.

Here is her sister, a Schrade 25OT that I received in a trade for from a good friend and forumite here. I snapped a few photo's of it before I gifted it to an old friend and neighbor who is dying from heart disease. I traded for it here specifically to replace the one he lost back in the day on one of his outdoor adventures some years ago.. So, when I saw it for trade in our forum here, I sealed the deal and gave it to my pal to cheer him up during his initial recovery stage after his open heart surgery. It worked. He really appreciated it..

After BJE's thread reminding us how great SAK's are, I'm carrying my Vic Fieldmaster in the canoe with me. I'd kinda forgotten about that thing.
