GEC 99...the Holy Grail in my eyes! Someday...someday.

GEC 99...the Holy Grail in my eyes! Someday...someday.
It is my most used GEC. It just goes to show the growing popularity of GEC's knives. When I bought it a little more than a year ago there were multiple numbers in stock. Keep your eye on the exchange as they are available.

Got my very first Barlow in today, a Rough Rider smooth white bone. So straight into the pocket it went (after a couple of pics of course)

Well done everyone!

Very nice Cases Jeff and two beauties Dean.

I'm carrying these three today.

Have a good one!

Ken K.

Thanks, Ken! I've always admired the older Cadet. What is the date range of manufacture?

This #13 Clerk just got home on Thursday so it is getting some attention for Sambar Stag Saturday! ;)

Very nice looking stag, Ron! All the photos I've seen of the stag on the 13s show a good run.

All the feelings you've scattered in my heart
Are a road map to the places I have been
And now.. storms and rain can't wash away
The feelings burned deep within
And I keep reaching out for more

Passionate poetry and knockout knives, Gev!

Thank you, Dean!
Northwoods Knives: Esky Zulu

Those two bare a striking resemblance in the blade department :), and are equally as beautiful .

Thank you, Dee. Spears are sublime.

Today the day is like the sky, blue ......

Nice looking Barlow! You do know that you can't stop at just one. :)

Beautiful TC, Ron!

I've been carrying my dark brown Speaker Jack all week, but decided to change it up for Stag Saturday. :D

Thank you Dean. The Stag does seem very nice on most of the 13's I have seen. :)

Thank you gents, I am already enjoying this one. I ordered a micarta version as well but I won't get it till Monday. Super slim and the wharncliffe just looks proportioned perfectly on this frame. The long pull is usually not my favorite on a wharnie and I am not a fan of cloud shields but for some reason all these things come together beautifully on this knife! Can't wait to get my hands on the tidioute micarta and see which one will win the race for pocket time :D

Still totin' my Mountain Man that I got last week. I had forgotten how fantastic Queen's D2 is once you get it really sharp. It's good to have one of these again.

I really like that mountain man and have had my eye on it for a while . Really nice covers on yours and I'm also a big fan of D2 steel [emoji106]

Thanks! The slipjoint versions seem to be getting harder to find now. This one has a couple minor issues, but it has the smoothest walk and the loudest talk of any slipjoint I've handled. I'd rate the pull at about a 5 and then it snaps open with authority, almost like a lockback. I'm still hoping to see GEC offer the #42 in a single blade slipjoint configuration.

You should really be enjoying and I know I would ! [emoji846]

Really great shots folks, a couple of standouts though...

That Northwoods and the shot are spectacular. :)

This shot with the Keen Kutter looks like captured moment in time but back when the knife was bein' put through it's paces. Another standout shot. I know it's been mentioned before but with so many great shots and so many great moments in cutlery history the software is there along with the ability to print photo quality pages at home... has anyone ever did or tried to do a calendar?

Friday!!! :D Hope you all enjoy your weekend!

Maybe a slightly better picture?

I love old bone, even more so when the photographer captures the warmth in the bone scales, great shot.

Jack, hope you start feelin' better, this time of year sucks to get sick, it can be so hard to kick it and then if you have a house full of family it just passes from one to the next till it comes back to you. A little smoke and good vibes headin' across the pond.

I've been really enjoyin' this Copperhead gifted to me by a member here, wish I woulda tried this pattern earlier, one of these days I'll get a nice new tight one. Do they come in the yellow Delrin or a cheaper, less premium handle material?
