What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Poetry in text and knives, Gev. Great photo of your classic beauties.

Today's carry is a Camillus pearl whittler and a TC sheepfoot.

Nourishing my friend !! Thank you. Look at the love you have shown that TC...splendid ! A Camillus pearl...wow. I was going to wax poetic on it, but it's time to wane ;) for me and just take in its beauty.

Increasingly, I am carrying a fixed. I love it and never thought I'd enjoy one as much as I do this one. I've abused it, loved it, and it just begs for more. This is Lon's forged 3V and it's done superbly. I have yet to make it dull or come across a task it couldn't handle well.

With its companion today.

Enjoy the day everyone.

Horace Kephart would approve, nice fixed blade

Thanks fellas.
Nice Orchard Gem Paul

Thanks Bob, wishing you well my friend:thumbup:

I love the jigging on that knife. Hopefully, I will have diamond shield myself, soon enough. Is that one of Charlie's SFOs? I tried to look it up, but can't find its reference numbers - would you please state them?

Thanks HST, @ one time I carried a Schrade USA Sharpfinger, loved having a fixed blade for daily carry. Here's info on Charlie's SFO Orchard Gem, model #383215:thumbup:

Nice Duo Dean, love the well used TC:cool:

Paul
Lovely orchard gem indeed. Thank you my friend :D

Thanks my friend, a pattern that I have really come to appreciate:thumbup:

Such a great Barlow Dadpool:cool:

I pretty sure he would, hand forged, simple handle and a burnished leather sheath.

Thanks. It's great when a knife makes you love using it.

Pre posting for tomorrows carry. Could be my most favorite vintage Jack Knife. An equal end Spear/Pen KABAR. Amazing bone covers, a shortened main but both blades SOLID as can be. Worn smooth over the years, plus a wrap around spring on the pen side:thumbup:

Wow! Absolutely beautiful

Smashing pair Gev :)

Nice line-up GT, how do you find the Land Shark?

Looks good Barrett

Stunning Paul

Having a very busy week here. Slipping this Anchor Knife in my pocket again today, afraid I've not had a chance to take another pic :o Hope everyone has a good Friday, and an even better weekend

Paul, the little jack knife just goes to prove how little knife design has improved. At least for me that is the perfect carry, even if I try to prove myself wrong.

Today, I've got Mutt and Jeff. A Rogers jigged bone medium stockman and a Lionsteel Opera lockback.

Paul. That looks and sounds, from your description, like a solidly well built knife?

...
GT, I like that Land Shark Schrade.

...
That is a super cool Taylor-Schrade GT .
These two for me today (always feels weird posting a knife with an upside down shield for some reason).

Thanks for the positive comments on my Land Shark, Bob & Tom; it's certainly a distinctive knife.
Nice pair of knives, Tom! Of course, my eyes are drawn more to the Queen scout. If the upside down shield bothers you, why not turn the knife around? Or is the bail on the left even weirder?? ;)

Thanks, GT, and that's some pretty nice stag on your Colt Canoe!
...
Thanks, Gary. I bought the Schrade a while back and know nothing about it except how good it looks. There is no model number or any other markings except on the main blade tang. It may have been an SFO for somebody?

Your Colt canoe is a great looking knife, especially the stag.

Today's carry is a Camillus pearl whittler and a TC sheepfoot.

Jeff and Dean, thanks for the Colt stag compliments. Colt had several stag knives about a year ago that I thought were quite nice, and now Colt, as a knife brand, has apparently gone belly-up. Too bad; I thought their knives were very solid and well-made.
Thanks for the info (about lack of info) on your Schrade, Dean. Your whittler/Barlow pair is very elegant. The coloring of your TC bone handles is very recognizable!

Thanks, Jack. I suppose if I were a "normal" person, the Land Shark would be a very serviceable, functional knife. But since I now have what some might call an "abnormal", and even unhealthy, interest in knives, my expectations of a knife may be too lofty! By nature, I apparently prefer knives with more than one blade. And I'm most confident using a spearpoint blade; this lambsfoot blade on the Land Shark is a novelty that I'm still exploring. I do like the placement of the EO notch, even though it seems unnecessary for opening the blade; it's a comfortable rest for my middle finger while using the knife.
How old is your Anchor Knife, Jack? Can you count the rings in the wooden handle to find out? I'm REALLY taken with that handle.

I'm back to the Camillus engineers knife today.

What a contrast! Alan, I think I have a good idea of the size of your impeccable Case medium stockman, so that Lionsteel must be a HUGE knife!:thumbup:

Kitchen duty this week has been divvied up among four knives.
MAM Iberica and Opinel carbone #7, the top two knives in the following photo:
