What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Very classy

Lonely Teardrop. Is this what Jackie Wilson was singing about? :D

:D

Thanks, Jack. I suppose if I were a "normal" person, the Land Shark would be a very serviceable, functional knife. But since I now have what some might call an "abnormal", and even unhealthy, interest in knives, my expectations of a knife may be too lofty! By nature, I apparently prefer knives with more than one blade. And I'm most confident using a spearpoint blade; this lambsfoot blade on the Land Shark is a novelty that I'm still exploring. I do like the placement of the EO notch, even though it seems unnecessary for opening the blade; it's a comfortable rest for my middle finger while using the knife.
How old is your Anchor Knife, Jack? Can you count the rings in the wooden handle to find out? I'm REALLY taken with that handle.

Hope you take to the straight edge GT, just a short step from there to a Lambsfoot! ;) :D

Thanks my friend, but I've no idea how old it is I'm afraid. Maybe I WILL try and count the rings! ;) :D

Looks like you've been busy in the kitchen this week

Man o man...do i love this knife

Jack
Thank you and I would keep that beauty in my pocket as well

The KA-Bar is just a treat to see and an easy one to love ! The bone is sensational

Gary
A great lineup of real cutters. The top Mam looks like a great carry and light too

Buzz
Another great photo !

Kitten Party
I enjoyed your photo too!

Playboy
The Case jack is a wonderful gem

Why do I covet oatmeal ....ah Rock and Planterz :D

Nourishing my friend !! Thank you. Look at the love you have shown that TC...splendid ! A Camillus pearl...wow. I was going to wax poetic on it, but it's time to wane ;) for me and just take in its beauty.

Thank you, Gev. :)

That TC is a treat! So much character in the patina too. That looks like it took some time and work to develop.

Mine for today, my "do everything around the house knife," now entering week three (if memory serves):

(2016 GEC Northfield 77 Barlow)

Thank you, Dadpool. Your Yankee Barlow is a great example of sawcut bone done right.

Nice Duo Dean, love the well used TC:cool:

Thank you, Paul.

Pre posting for tomorrows carry. Could be my most favorite vintage Jack Knife. An equal end Spear/Pen KABAR. Amazing bone covers, a shortened main but both blades SOLID as can be. Worn smooth over the years, plus a wrap around spring on the pen side:thumbup:

I can see why that is a favorite, Paul!

Having a very busy week here. Slipping this Anchor Knife in my pocket again today, afraid I've not had a chance to take another pic :o Hope everyone has a good Friday, and an even better weekend

Have a good day, Jack. Your Anchor knife is neat; is that another knife without a maker's mark?

I'm back to the Camillus engineers knife today.

A great photo of that treasure, Buzz!

Jeff and Dean, thanks for the Colt stag compliments. Colt had several stag knives about a year ago that I thought were quite nice, and now Colt, as a knife brand, has apparently gone belly-up. Too bad; I thought their knives were very solid and well-made.

Thanks for the info (about lack of info) on your Schrade, Dean. Your whittler/Barlow pair is very elegant. The coloring of your TC bone handles is very recognizable!

Thanks, Gary. Too bad about Colt; I thought their knives were well made (judged primarily by your photos).

Wonderful and unusual knife, Paul! Your photo really brings out the details.:thumbup:

Today, I'm carrying my Ulster scout (circa 1927 - 1940) and GEC Tidioute Whip (circa 2017).

Jack
Thank you and I would keep that beauty in my pocket as well

Thanks pal :)

Thanks Dean :) Yes, it is, my guess is that it's German, but I don't really know for sure. Nice pair you're carrying today my friend, but that Scout is exceptional

Nice choice. That Ulster is a beauty!

What a dynamic duo Dean!

An urban outfit

Thank you, Jack, Buzz, and Gev! I was not even looking for a Scout when I saw this one at a show a while back. But once I saw it, it was inevitable I would buy it!

Gev, a beautiful Barlow from Mark and it's a spear! Any chance we could see it open?

If you follow the modified traditional knives discussion you saw this already but since it's taking a ride in my pocket today I thought I'd put it here as well
