What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Ha ha... I figured as much Jack :D They rule our hearts don't they? Many thanks my friend

:)

Really a little pocket jewel right there! Thank you for the compliment :D

Thanks a lot pal :)

Will; at least you were able to....try. I can barely speak American English:D Isn't collecting traditional knives and chatting with our friends on BF Fun?

:D

Another great pic Paul

Lambsfoot content! :) That's some natty leather-work my friend

Carrying a couple of IXLs today

I'm going with this. I like the 38 frame in all its variants, but the Pruner blade, single-spring and Camel Bone works well.

Thanks, Will

Good call. Does that have a nice thinly ground blade, like the Kamp-King shell knives?
Thanks, Buzz. :) I've never actually handled a Kamp-King, but I imagine my Forest-Master is quite similar. I measure the spine of the blade at a hair over 1/16".

...
Happy pockets GT! Here's a pic of my Lambsfoot for you ;) :D

Also carrying my Lick Creek Barlow :)

Very considerate of you to put together another "water and knife" shot for me , Jack! :D Is that Lick Creek in the background of the LC Barlow pic?? ;)

On vacation with the family, all day is non-stop focus on the girls (as it should be) but sneaking a little late night time to try and catch up on this best of threads. 6 new pages since I last posted, so many cool knives and stories! Paul loved your North Dakota post! Thanks to all that complimented my Heartland, much appreciated. This knife is always one I bring when out of town and overall it's a tough one to beat in my mind

Elegant 77 Barlow, Drew; I hope you and your family enjoy the vacation! And +5K  on enjoying Paul's ode to NoDak (curious to hear the youthful extradition story sometime though ).

Nice photo of a couple of cool knives, Joe!

Great grain, Bob!

Very cool, George! Is that a Schrade USA carbon steel model? How do you like it? I'm carrying a stainless Chinese 44OT this week. I like the 4 different blade shapes.

Picked one out for the watch pocket today, the medium RR stockman in armor hide bone.

I have quite a few Rough Riders, but I don't have any Armor Hide covers. Your stockman sure looks great, Jeff ; I think I'll pick up an Armor Hide canoe.

I saw this clump of Liverwort (Hepaticus nobilis) flowering in the woods today. You don't see blue flowers in the wild very often.
IMG_4611_zpsymneu3qr.jpg
Both splendid pics, Travman, but I really enjoy the first one with "dogs" in foreground and background!

That's a prized pair, Dee!

...
The #56 that arrived yesterday for me again today:)

IkuFi4.jpg
Don't take this the wrong way, Paul, because it's supposed to be a compliment: that pic is double BS. Beautiful Stag & Big Sky!:thumbup:

Sweet scarlet daily double, Bill! I really like that little RR whittler in jigged red bone.

...
Today's carry was a Buck 301 Stockman :)

Classic, Ron! All business!

Whoa! Rosie has stolen my heart! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8pK50dcRVsU

Recycled photo, but...

About to head to the hospital for Ethan's birth. So I have his knife in my pocket.

Congrats, Joey!:cool: Praying that all goes well, and that Ethan likes his knife! ;)

Carrying a couple of IXLs today

XLnt pair of I*XLs, Jack!

I'm going with this. I like the 38 frame in all its variants, but the Pruner blade, single-spring and Camel Bone works well.

Thanks, Will
Remarkable knife, Will, so I'll remark on it!!;)

More of this week's knives for me:
Taylor-Schrade 44OT

Rough Rider 5" fish knife (thanks, Mark); I think of it as my picnic knife for cutting steak and watermelon, but the weather forecast now has up to 6" of snow tomorrow - not really picnic weather :(

Zamorano blade etch on a knife my daughter got me at his shop in Toledo, Spain (but a Spanish BF member has convinced me the knife was actually produced by the Nieto company)

Sorry for the duplicate post! :( That hasn't happened to me in a LONG time. I wouldn't have even noticed if Bob hadn't alerted me!

LOL! Thanks GT ;) :D  If I lived a bit nearer to Lick Creek, I'd have to make a pilgrimage :)

Seems a bit naughty. Nice knife though

Cool pic Gevster ;)

Yikes! It can be quite the task keeping up with this thread, so many great knives displayed by everyone. Today, like many, if not most days, sees me carrying this guy. It has become one of my favorites.

GT Thanks. I like the knife a lot, Camel feels actually different from Bovine bone.

If you get hold of some of that Armour Hide Bone, you won't be disappointed, it's sort of 'warty' good gear.

Hope your teaching days have eased up a little, you were having long days earlier on this year.

Regards, Will
