What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Ugh. When I was still going to school I was taking a few languages (Latin, German, Russian, even Arabic) as I thought i might be interested in linguistics. I made it nowhere in Arabic. I enjoyed Russian - I've worked with a surprising amount of Russian speakers - but the alphabet kicked my butt. I have bad enough handwriting in English without having to learn to extra letters both in printed and script. Basically all I know in Russian is "hello", "goodbye", "thank you", "you're welcome", and enough curses to get my head kicked in by an angry Russian.

I study Russian and German. I knew German before already, so no problems there. Russian I thought would be easier because I already speak Slovene, but no sir. It's a pain in the butt although the script is not a problem for me. The example in the photo is a bad one, otherwise I write it nicer than Latin. I have to, otherwhise it's unreadable ... :o

Nice reminder of a former ward:D Great shot too. Yes, I found writing Cyrillic to be a tricky aspect of Russian, then I would mix up the Cyrillic & Latin alphabets and write nonsense  But I'm prone to that anyway.....

Jeff I've got a couple of RR knives in Armour Hide Bone and I think it's interesting stuff, gnarled!

I saw this clump of Liverwort (Hepaticus nobilis) flowering in the woods today. You don't see blue flowers in the wild very often.

Alan you have a phenomenal collection!

Thank you Drew! I ordered the two Davison knives I had and specified what I wanted. That knife has coined liners all the way around back and front. Doesn't show in the photo.

Did you ever track down Joe?

Hehe :D I love this knife. As for Cyrillic, tell me about it. Writting Latin comments while writing in Cyrillic is always fun. Nu nichego, zhizn takaya (that's life). :)
