Fabulous photo, Gev! I'm no spring chicken, yet all of the coins in your pic except the quarter are older than me! Is that true of that wonderful Remington Barlow??

LOL! Thanks GT ;) :D  If I lived a bit nearer to Lick Creek, I'd have to make a pilgrimage :)

Seems a bit naughty. Nice knife though
...
Thanks, Jack. :)

If you get hold of some of that Armour Hide Bone, you won't be disappointed, it's sort of 'warty' good gear.

Hope your teaching days have eased up a little, you were having long days earlier on this year.

Regards, Will
Thanks for the armor hide recommendation, Will. And thanks for asking about work responsibilities. The situation is certainly much better than it was in January, but is still taking up more of my time than used to be the case. I guess my age is just catching up with me and reducing my efficiency.

Got my Remington R4243 in my short pocket and in the long slanted pocket my 98 cattle is hiding. Texas Jeans for my Texas camp knife.

I've been leery of carrying a knife in that "short pocket", for fear that it will slip out somehow. Your knife seems pretty secure there for you, VH?

These today : 83 Stag Drop Point and Taylors Eye Witness Sheepsfoot......
Harry
That's a striking pair, Harry!

Magnificent Mason, Bob! :thumbup::thumbup:

Kids get to pick a sweet cereal for vacations :)
IMG_1675_zpsthjdscq2.jpg
We used to do that on vacations when our daughter was young, Drew! :D I usually chose a different cereal for vacation breakfasts, too, and considered it a real treat! (I usually went for Life instead of Cheerios.)

yeah its a usa model, I think that's the one I bought here on the exchange many years ago.. probably my favorite model of OT... definitely my favorite size of wharncliff - makes me feel like a wildcat, great for opening packages and stuff.. I've also got a mint one w/the box and everything in stash, but it's mostly just for looking at (if I happen to lose this one it will get used lol)

I've got not problems with Taylor made OTs, I've got one also, and can't really find any faults with it. (even smells good, I don't know if it is the delrin they use or what, but it smells like candy lol)
Thanks for the info, george65. I always carry a Vic Minichamp that has a small wharncliffe blade that works great for opening packages, as you noted. I haven't noticed a candy smell with my Chinese Old Timers! ;)

...
Carrying two today. My Davison, which I have pictured for two days and this Whip.

Super stag, Alan!

...
I have had my favorite carry with me the last couple of days.

Good to see that standout red spearpoint TC again, Dean!

Camel & Buffalo for Whittlin' Wednesday.

IMG_20140703_103542_zpswvx247i3.jpg
Wonderful knives, Dee! But I can't remember Wooden Wednesday, and now there's Whittlin' Wednesday, too??:confused: What's next, Warthog Wednesday?? (I think I remember seeing a custom with warthog tusk covers once upon a time.)

...
Gary - Thank you! Regardless who made it, it is a sleek knife!

Today I am carrying my OO 73 Scout. I love this knife and quite frankly could carry it all the time. I bought it very lightly used on the exchange back in 2015 right after they were released. I also bought one from Bob Andrews and one from BigBiscuit and they are both tucked away NIT just in case! After all one can never be to careful!!:D

Thanks for the compliment, Ron. :)
Your Osage Orange 73 is such a memorable knife!

Tomorrow will start early. The tree guys are scheduled to take down the Hackberry of Damocles before it falls on my house.
I'll be carrying a couple of old trees for good luck.

Beauteous brace of Bökers, Rachel! I'm not familiar with hackberry (at least by that name); will this tree removal provide you with an endless supply of whittling stock, or is it worthless whittling wood?

I haven't took Ol' Yeller for a pocket ride in awhile.
Classic SBJr, FBC! (Do you bake your Altoids in the tin before consuming them??)

This week my "knife wallet" in LRP contains these three knives.

The secret is the 98 cattle knife in the slant pocket putting pressure on the R4243. If i pull out the 98 the r4243 is able to fall out. I have carried dual Saks in there for the same reason. I'm always checking to make sure it's there though.

Dark and rainy here, so this is a recycled image. Case-Bose Wharncliff lock-back whittler and a Mammoth Ivory City Knife from Eldon Talley.

Off the charts...wow!!!

Superb Remington Barlow, Gev! Do you have any idea of the age?

I have had my favorite carry with me the last couple of days.

The tang stamp is so badly worm..I would only be venturing a guess. I see why it is a favorite, Dean!!

Gev - Your Remington Barlow is a timeless beauty! That Sawcut Bone is without rival!

I just can't ever get enough of that beauty! I understand completely why you sought out backups. Great photograph !

Gary
Thank you so much kind sir. I don't have any idea how old it is and wonder myself if there is a clue in the bolster stamp. Great carries yourself...you spring chicken :D

The Humpback is Candy

Carrying two of my favorites today!

That is a nice pair to carry!:thumbup:

My Soldier has been hanging around me in the house for the last couple of days pining to be carried. I guess I'll let it ride along tonight when I go out. :)

Good to see that standout red spearpoint TC again, Dean!
- GT

Thanks, Gary. Your knife wallet must be filled with pride to be carrying such venerable patterns - canoe, barlow and stockman!

I see why it is a favorite, Dean!!

Thanks, Gev!

Today it was Coco, the Calf Roper Slim. Tonight it will be my Vic Soldier.

Thanks Dean! There are plenty of excellent knives being carried today as always, but the solider is a tough one to beat.

I'm carrying it for him, but I figured a pic of him with his knife was in order. Too soon? Lol

That's a heck of a knife!

Jack, you have an absolutely perfect and gorgeous LC Barlow!:thumbup:

Thanks my friend

I haven't took Ol' Yeller for a pocket ride in awhile.

Tremendous trio GT

Fantastic! :) Congratulations :)

I had an early start today, and a long day swapping tales with Stan Shaw, so reading this with match-sticks under my eyelids! But had these two in my pockets, my Wheatley Brothers Wheatsheaf Tackler and a William Morton Sleeveboard :)
