Not sure why, but my earlier thank you post never got trough, said something about that it must be approved.

Anyway, Thanks for your warm welcome!

Welcome! Looking good. I like that sheath. Nice work.

Welcome. Nice sheath. I recently tried the #71 and I am now a fan.

Welcome to The Porch

Welcome to the Forum, I really like the sheath.:thumbup:

Wow, nice work! Welcome to bladeforums from the desert.

Welcome to The Porch, ekua187! :) Solid knife and stunning sheath!

Awesome work on that leather slip mate. Will have the same #71 on its way to me soon, my first bullnose. Reckon I'll be putting a leather lanyard like yours too??

Yes, i know :) What i meant was which store sold this edition :) i like them as a compliment for a single blade more traditional pattern knife.
Yours look great, the black one really looks good after some pocket time! Cheers!

Ah that makes sense. I thought it was weird that a knifeguy would not know where Swiss army knives came from. Cheers[emoji1]

I'm overjoyed and very lucky to be able to carry this fine Winchester Teardrop/Candle-End from 1987. All due to the kindness and altruism of Merry Mad Monk who sent it to me all the way from the USA as a present. Thank you Al it cheered me up during a tough stretch and makes Easter all the better.

Regards, Will

I've tried everything. It plucks at my finger. I can not feel a burr.
I run it over the strop. I look at the edge with a loupe.
Even my Ulster Pen knife with a chip in the middle of the main blade will slice paper on either side of the chip like butter.
The primary blade of this knife does fine as well. It is beyond my understanding.

I've got a Frost muskrat with the same problem. I've sharpened, resharpened, and sharpened again. And it just doesn't seem to perform as well as other knives I've sharpened at the same time. I've just chalked it up to being something with the actual blade itself maybe from heat treat or something else.

The more I see your crimson spearpoint TC, the better I like it, Dean!
Thanks for the kind words about my lunch photo and my Explorer. :) I got the Explorer at a gun & knife show where I get many of my SAKs. How do you know it's an older one? Is the magnifier a key to estimating age on that model?

Thank you, Gary! Yes, the magnifier on yours is the older one (and some folks say it's better than the current one).

Thanks Dean :) How about today's carry?? Great minds! :D:thumbup:

Great color on that Alox!

I'm carrying the Chestnut 15 again with a different alox Vic than pictured today.

Nice!

I acctually just got my hands on my birthyear stamped alox Soldier (85) in mint condition, its a safequeen for now :) Got help from a fellow alox collector in the US to secure the deal and ship it out to Sweden. Pictured below with my 85 stamped Vic Dutch Army Knife.

You can't beat that!

Trimmed back the side growth on the muscadines today. Cleaned up and moved stuff around in the shop in prep for the 33 Ford basket case coming the start of may (woohoo project car!). The case/Bose cattle knife with me. Sorry for recycled photo
